Maddingo 21 #3 March 31, 2018 1st thing is gettin the damn thing to be less claustrophobic, when I was testing the helmets the thing was just awful. Don't get it why it is so popular. 2nd it needs to stop feeling like you are wearing a thin plastic bag on your head. 3rd they need to make it fit better and stop assuming all jumpers are kids with tiny heads. 4th which is obviously the least of concerns, getting some protection in that can. benlangfeld 1 #5 April 1, 2018 It’s not. I tried both the G3 and KISS, the latter of which feels far more spacious.
Maddingo 21 #6 April 1, 2018 Might be, that's why I jump with an alternative closed helmet. Not all people have small heads like you quag, I jump the Kiss also. Way more spacious. But G3 fanboys will be G3 fanboys, you can't help them. The sad part is most of people just buy a G3 without ever testing alternatives. Poor souls. What experience do you have with other skydiving full face helmets ? List the "mile long list of crap they need to fix on the G3". Please. What do YOU look for in a helmet ? Do you realize that no product out there is 100% perfect per everyone's expectations ? Are a you by chance a millennial ?
Pobrause 6 #8 April 1, 2018 I for one have a few „real“ expectations for an upcoming G4: Redesign of the closing mechanism so it stays shut even at higher speeds. My properly adjusted G3 visor with new rubber bands keeps popping open during Speed skydives, faster than normal traces ect. Part of it might be the cheap shell, that deforms very easily Better ventilation/ air channeling around the mouth area so it doesn‘t fog up all the time during the colder seasons. Maybe better anti fog coating as well Better integrated dytter holder. Thicker foam with more adjustment possibilities like on some bonehead helmets. If this comes with more impact protection even better. Better quality foam, that doesn‘t make the helmet a whole size bigger after a few month of use. And maybe, just maybe a more realistic pricing policy. Here in Germany we pay close to 400€ for those leaky cold punch buckets, ~$480------------------------------------------------------- To absent friends
roostnureye 2 #9 April 1, 2018 i would like to see real impact protection. better ventilation better chin securing mechanism (not plastic) larger audible pockets. and a different material usedFlock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE
Anachronist 2 #10 April 15, 2018 dogdoghowlI've heard rumours that the long awaited Cookie G4 is just around the corner. Does anyone have any more information? I've been hearing that rumor for 2 years... But hopefully they will just make the G3 better and keep the price the same rather than a huge update and another $100. If they wait until Tonfly makes a full face I think they will miss the proverbial boat on the next gen of helmets. (I have no idea if Tonfly has that ambition or not). If you Cookie guys are reading this, please please make a removable liner so I can wash all my sweat out, and maybe sturdy up the alti pockets, other than that I don't care what you do with it. Anachronist 2 #11 April 15, 2018 roostnureyei would like to see real impact protection. better ventilation better chin securing mechanism (not plastic) larger audible pockets. and a different material used Not that I disagree, but you can remedy most of these yourself. 1-would be nice, but adds bulk and you gotta have someone certify it ($$$) to "prove" its "protection." 2-drill holes in the visor. 3-mine broke so I bought metal fastex clips online for like $10. 4-the foam on mine is wallered out already I could fit a deck of cards in it. If the opening is too small (which it is pretty tight) just hot knife it. 5-I don't think plastic is going anywhere, too durable, cheap, and easy to work with. LeeroyJenkins 3 #14 April 18, 2018 The only thing I really hope they don't do is screw with the lens. It is very annoying when you can see the distortion caused by the lens, kind of like what happens with the KISS lens in the peripherals.
mtgale00 1 #15 December 8, 2018 Realistic pricing? Please... How about realistic taxes. How much does VAT add to the cost? Maybe you should be complaining to the socialists running your country instead of bagging' on Cookie. Just sayin'...

Maybe you should be complaining to the socialists running your country instead of bagging' on Cookie. Just sayin'... Yes, USD retail pricing is $379. Tax will depend on where you buy it. Online shipped you can pay no tax. But make sure you buy the right health insurance if you are American., or visiting to jump. Just sayin'..... I guess the point is that you can't really blame Cookie for any of that.

Whoa there sweetie, rhetoric and common sense as well as years of experience and knowledge such as yo have just orated will most likely get yo banned from this blog :) When I first started, as well as Al King, Lew Sandborn, Dan pointer, Ted,... and a few others,...We all started with Bell's on our noggins. Then some idot came up with this leather condom which became very popular for a bit. then the Protecks then the "bonheads." then the G3. Kind of like that chart of evolution from when we all started out as fish or chimps. As you can see more than a few here who I strongly suspect have never used a plethora of various gear have invested themselves in what they think best. From that evolution chart, they would be the examples to the left. Some of us like Mike G. when they had that store in DeLand would recommend trying on various helmets, till yo found what yo liked best or what worked best. Of course that store had 100 helmets on the wall. NOT everyone who lives in the woods or under a rock has that availability of gear to choose from. And I suspect that is part of the issue. Of course there is no excuse for pretending and giving gear reviews for gear that anyone has never owned or used. I too as well as just about every other 4 way World Team would love to hear about this "mile long" list of issues??? I suspect it's more like,...about,... 3" long.Brett Bickford Did Not Commit Suicide. He is the victim of ignorance and faulty gear. AND as in the movie: "12 Angry Men," of an ignorant and callous jury.
