jclalor 12 #1 August 31, 2018 Have any of you ever had to deal with a friend who insist (Violently at times) on paying for everything? Everything from golf, restaurants, bar bills, and so on. We’re going fishing in Cabo in a bit and I can only imagine how that’s gonna go. He’s an immigrant from Ethiopia and I’m unsure if this is a cultural thing. Should I be annoyed or just continue mooching?

If he keeps insisting on paying, then you've done what you could. Whether it's cultural or just "his thing" - that's up to him. It's his money.

Went to the Keys, partied, blew my wad, he insisted the rest was on him. Did a bunch of jumps at another dz, I coached him on MY dime payed for all my jumps. Couple yrs. later he says I owe him a bunch of money. Offered him what my tab was for the Keys. Never heard from him again. Never can figure people out.I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.
