Proximity 0 #1 May 3, 2018 Hi everyone I will be going on a road trip with a friend from may 10th till the 2nd of june and we will be in San Fransisco for a few days in the beginning (10.-14. May) Anyone from or around SF wanting to meet up during that time? Would love to see the city and hang out with someone local (aswell as maybe a couch to crash on ) Looking for recommondations and places to see and visit after san fransisco. National parks, cities, dropzones to get a couple of jumps in while passing by. Anything worth seeing/doing. If anyone knows about any good events going on around mid-end of may please let me know, happy for any info we don't really have a plan in mind what route to go yet but want to see yosemite/grand canyon/monument valley etc. and probably going to be in lodi/perris/elsinore/oceanside some time along the way. Thanks for your guy's help, looking forward to meeting some awesome people on the way!

BillyVance 34 #3 May 3, 2018 NewGuy2005I suggest that you go to Yosemite National Park. It's amazing. It is, if it's not jam packed with tourists, that is."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
tikl68 6 #4 May 4, 2018 Not sure when you will be in the area of Elsinore, and Oceanside, but Elsinore has been my home DZ for 14 years, and I was born and raised in Oceanside. So when you come to Elsinore find me and I can give some suggestions of what to do for fun while in town, or be your tour guide if you like, there is a lot to do. True, but those dates are right before the big tourist crush, plus the waterfalls will be roaring.
flyhi 24 #6 May 4, 2018 Quote Anything worth seeing/doing. It's a little out of the way, but the Cliff House Restaurant is kind of neat. Going to be a little early for the Gilroy Garlic Festival but you can still stop by Gilroy and get chocolate covered garlic or garlic ice cream. I believe Skydive Hollister is around Gilroy. I went to a dropzone near there and signed a waiver one time, but got weathered out and never jumped. YOYO (You're On Your Own) for that one. You can read more here. If you are going south from SFO, you can stop at Monterrey and visit the Moneterrey Bay Aquarium and Fisherman's Wharf. There is a dropzone in Monterrey but I think it's a tandem factory. The comments here pretty much support that. Do your own research on that one. Then keep going south and keep the ocean on your right and visit Big Sur, the Bixby Bridge (it is BASE-able. See videos on YouTube. Guy got arrested for doing it, so that's proof he lived. CA almost never arrests dead guys. No money in it.), and Ventana . NOTE: Venta is pricey. Maybe just some coffee, atmosphere, and ambiance. They may charge for ambiance.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

The waterfalls are going strong, and the kids are not yet out of school. If you are good at back country camping I can give some suggestions for Yosemite trails in the wilderness.
