NewGuy2005 53 #1 February 15, 2018 My wife and I are headed there in about a month. Here's what we are planning on doing, so far: 1) Viewing the Marfa Mystery Lights 2) McDonald Observatory "star party" 3) Terlingua / Lajitas 4) Big Bend National Park 5) Take an introductory glider lesson at Marfa Any suggestions for other things to do? Also, there's a pretty good historic site in Ft. Davis. And I hope you're not hitting Marfa only for the lights (which are unprepossessing), but also to wander around and see some of the art. Doing hiking in Big Bend? Love that place. If you have a passport, bring it, and you can take a rowboat across the river to Boquillas, Mexico. There's a warm spring in the river, and the hiking is absolutely stellar. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

That's where we are staying. We rented a small house downtown for a week. We'll be bringing our bicycles, too. More info: One of the big reasons we are going is that I've had this idea that I would like to move there. I love the desert and think the climate would really agree with me.
