Definitely not unprecedented. Just make sure someone is safe for themselves and others. But I personally know it happens.

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

I know an LO at a very large DZ that has had 4th stage cancer for several years. He still jumps every week. I think he had to take some time off during the treatments, but afterwards he was back jumping again.
