Well, technically it would be extorting money from a presidential candidate. But he didn't see it as extortion, he said it was totally above board on both sides. So what is there for anyone to be upset about? ;)

Ha, I was considering saying "Presidential Candidate" but "President" sounded better and besides, I think it kicked in after he was elected so it seems more appropriate to the idea of her biting off more than she could chew that "Candidate" turned into "President". I wish her the best but I think she was foolish to think this would be a quick money grab and splash of free publicity.

No, the NDA and $130k payment were all sorted before the election. As the tapes show, Trump and Cohen didn't even blink at paying it. So, extorting a presidential candidate for a quick cash grab really was quite easy, successful and risk free.

It was only when she changed her mind and decided she could get much more from publicity and media appearances than the she got from the NDA that shit hit the fan. So, really it's 'un-extorting' a President and attempting to tell a true story about them that's dangerous.

Well, it came out after the election, but the actual approach, agreement & payoff came about while he was still a candidate (hence the 'campaign finance violation' charges).

I'm gonna guess that, just like most of us, she didn't think he was actually going to win.
She may well have underestimated how vicious and ruthless he is. The claimed death threats by Trump goons (or maybe Cohen goons, which amounts to the same thing) are a good example of that.

And I think that she felt (correctly, IMO) that going public with it wouldn't have mattered a bit. The Trumpettes would have celebrated the fact that he banged a porn star, rather than condemn him for cheating on his wife.
So milking it for some cash was likely her best option, or at least seemed that way at the time.

Reminds me of the election night footage of Melania where she looks absolutely frantic that Trump is going to win.

I think violence towards detractors is a logical next step in the evolution of the Trump presidency.

She doesn't deserve threats of physical violence but she certainly shouldn't be surprised. As for being a detractor...meh... She had a consensual relationship and tried to profiteer off of then candidate Trump. When he became President she saw dollar signs and maneuvered her way out of the agreement. I very much enjoy what the investigation has revealed but I wouldn't say her status as a detractor is all that noble. Again, that doesn't justify violence towards her, just an evaluation of her as a "detractor".

Wait - he's trying to protect Trump from witches? I thought a "witch hunt" meant a hunt for something that wasn't real. But they are real?

This makes a lot more sense. Perhaps the witches who put Trump at risk are people like his simple sons who keep making boneheaded decisions (like going to a Russian agent for dirt on Clinton.) In that case, "WITCH HUNT!" might refer to the effort to find, stop and prosecute such witches so they don't drag down Trump's presidency.

So far it looks like Mueller has taken down 25 witches. Go Mueller!

Who does?

Lots of people seem to.

She has a fair amount of support.

It's a bit disturbing when an extortionist porn star has more credibility and support (in certain circles) than a sitting President.

Yup, they like her because she's against Trump. To be fair, I don't think it's her who is credible rather than the proof they found in Cohen's office.

>Lots of people seem to.

Hmm. I haven't seen that. She's just a porn star who's being opportunistic. She saw a chance to make some money; she took it. Now she sees a chance to get some national attention and she's taking that, too - and it seems to be helping her career. She is neither noble nor evil.

Well, it's not that she's all that great - it's that Trump has so little credibility to begin with.

The only relevant link there seems to be a crowdfunding page for her lawsuit. But wanting her lawsuit to succeed and thinking she's noble are very different things, eh?

Sure but unfortunately for you guys, simply being better than Trump falls waaay below the bar of nobility:P

Doesn't that just make her smart? She was in a position of strength at the negotiating table. How is this any different from the general behaviour of the man the US elected President?

Who is saying detractors have to be noble? A detractor is somebody who disparages someone or something. Cohen is a Trump detractor now, I wouldn't call him noble either.

Whatever you do today, don't google for: mario kart toad
:D

Oh my God. What a fucking zoo.

"She describes Trump’s penis as “smaller than average” but “not freakishly small.”

“He knows he has an unusual penis,” Daniels writes. “It has a huge mushroom head. Like a toadstool …

“I lay there, annoyed that I was getting fucked by a guy with Yeti pubes and a dick like the mushroom character in Mario Kart …

“It may have been the least impressive sex I’d ever had, but clearly, he didn’t share that opinion.” "

did you see today that a California judge thew out the Stormy Daniels defamation claim and ordered her to pay all of President Trump's legal fees?
