They have decided to retaliate by starting a trade war. I'm not sure how effective that will be given the small size of our trade. I guess it may be designed to let other nations know that such behavior will not be tolerated. Poor choice of target by a bumbling bunch of amateurs. Few people work within the CN Tower. Few TO firefighters will try rushing up the Tower to save a few restaurant workers. Only a few antennas will be damaged. Hopefully, Toronto has enough communications redundancy to render that strike temporary. Few grand speeches by the mayor of Toronto. Trump actually said today that the issue with the torture and murder of the journalist was sad - a "really, really terrible situation" - but other countries do bad things, so what's the big deal? Besides, he doesn't want to lose the "massive amounts of money" he is getting from them for weapons. Nothing new there. From a Trump campaign speech: "I get along great with all of them. They buy apartments from me. They spend $40 million, $50 million. Am I supposed to dislike them? I like them very much!"

The 'super secret intelligence agency' is a staple of TV, movie and fiction writing. Not reality. But it's readily apparent that you choose to ignore reality and substitute it with what you want to be true. Trolling perhaps. The CIA is but an arm of the state. Generally speaking they act only under the direction of the president. To the benefit of the state. Mohammed bin Salman in the Case of Canadian criticism. The murder of the WP journalist and Saudi citizen. Has proven exactly what he is about. Molded in the thinking of Putin and trump. He seems to believe that any criticism attacks his ego. Punishment all out of proportion is his response. Canada, the US have all responded the same way. Business as usual. Canada knows that the armored vehicle sales agreement. Will supply weapons to be used against the Saudi Shia minority. Used to kill Yemeni civilians. But jobs trump integrity. Just as they did when the CIA meddled in Iranian elections to prop up the monarchy. One that tortured and abused dissidents. Don't forget its the Saudi textbooks, Saudi Mullahs that taught the 9/11 hijackers their twisted religious dogma. That gave rise to Al Qaeda, to IS. ...Oh, then again there is the Qatar boycott. Mohammed bin Salman's personal vendetta against anyone who wants to negotiate or compromise with Iran. Kind of reminds me of how another despot conducts his negotiations, trump. Let the US pour in $110 billion in weapons. Canada $15 billion more. At least hell will stay in the middle east, right? Trump Jr. Boosts Smear Tying Missing Journalist Jamal Khashoggi to Islamic Terrorism https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-jr-boosts-smear-tying-missing-journalist-jamal-khashoggi-to-islamic-terrorism Donald Trump Jr. on Friday promoted a smear tying Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi to Osama bin Laden, retweeting a series of tweets meant to imply that the Saudi commentator, who has been missing since last week, supported Islamic terrorism. With President Trump apparently reluctant to punish Saudi Arabia over Khashoggi’s alleged murder after he entered the Saudi embassy in Istanbul, conservative pundits have been straining to provide excuses for U.S. inaction. Iraq: 29 people 2. Syria: 11 Its a good lesson for everyone that gets invaded by the US. Guided MK-82's, on the way.
