Bannon went on, Wolff writes, to say that if any such meeting had to take place, it should have been set up “in a Holiday Inn in Manchester, New Hampshire, with your lawyers who meet with these people”. Any information, he said, could then be “dump[ed] … down to Breitbart or something like that, or maybe some other more legitimate publication”.

Liberal Wolff writes, what Bannon said, to an admittingly left-leaning publication about Breitbart's legitimacy.

"or maybe some other more legitimate publication." [I don't even know if that exists anymore.]
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

If you don't know that a more legitimate publication than Breitbart exists anymore, then you are simply a credulous victim of Trump's calculated attempts to denigrate the genuine news media in service of his own populist, demagogic agenda.

Here's a WaPo article shooting down the credibility of Wolff's book, essentially defending Trump from several of its accusations. That's what a legitimate publication does.

Here's a WaPo article shooting down the credibility of Wolff's book, essentially defending Trump from several of its accusations. That's what a legitimate publication does.

From the story:

"In some ways, this is the tell-all that Trump's post-truth presidency deserves. Trump's own version of the truth is often subject to his own fantastic impulses and changes at a moment's notice. The leaks from his administration have followed that pattern, often painting credulity-straining images of an American president. As the New York Times's Maggie Haberman notes, that makes claims in Wolff's book that would ordinarily seem implausible suddenly plausible."

Although there was a well know reporter interviewed on CNN, today, who said that Michael Wolff was in the West Wing as much as any reporter. If not more so. When you gather a bunch or lying, self interested, self enrichment seeking narcissists. This is what you get.

Its most often said that a team reflects its coach. A business reflects its CEO, etc.

For the WH, its so and deserved.

That's not what I said. I was pointing out the obvious statement of "even more legitimate than Breitbart" and the political agendas of most opinion pieces as news. As with your "Guardian" and many others.

Thanks for your opinion piece.

And, just to let you know... I did read the article. Not a big fan of WaPo; but have liked most of what Aaron Blake writes.

It really looked like that's what you said. So for clarity - you do know that there are many news publications that are much more legitimate than Breitbart, yes?

I genuinely can't parse that sentence. What are you trying to say?

This story is adapted from Michael Wolff’s book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House:

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/01/michael-wolff-fire-and-fury-book-donald-trump.html

Keep in mind that the book is filled with lies and fabrications. Thats why trump's lawyers are in such a hurry to get a court order restricting distribution.:(

Love this line:

"Michael Flynn, the retired general who served as Trump’s opening act at campaign rallies, had been told by his friends that it had not been a good idea to take $45,000 from the Russians for a speech. “Well, it would only be a problem if we won,” Flynn assured them."

Now you all love Bannon! Go figure.:D

What do you think of Steve Bannon?

Do you think there's a demonstrable precedent for him lying and shit stirring? Maybe through his work on Breitbart? Maybe on the political campaigns he's been part of?

Tell us Rush - do you think Bannon is a stable, trustworthy person?
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

>Now you all love Bannon! Go figure.

I think he's a repulsive slug.

The funny thing is that you believe him 100%; your primary source for news is Breitbart. Do you still believe him now that he's said that the Trump team is treasonous?
