Well, given the way Trump has systematically destroyed the State Dept, this isn't at all surprising.

Trump has no clue how important diplomacy is. One of many things he's clueless about, but this one is big.

Hi John,

White House readies plan to replace Tillerson

IMO an honorable person would have resigned a long time ago. Or should never have gotten into bed with the moron in the first place.

He sure wasn’t in very long, it seems he’s getting out sooner better than later.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, in that if the administration is going to be such a disaster, at least he thought (maybe?) he could try to salvage/offer some protection to a major facet of it. I firmly believe this is Sec. Mattis' take on Defense as well.

Hi Tri,

If Tillerson and/or Mattis did not do their homework on just what in the H*** type of person is; well, that is not my fault.

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who has been following Trump for the last 20 or so yrs can only conclude he is only all about himself and no one else.

True, but I kind of respect someone who decides that they're still willing to do the best they can to alleviate the shit show, because it's the right thing to do. Yeah, if they pull it off they're heroes, but there's really nothing wrong with a little self-interest. I respect the guys who are willing to step into what's probably a bad situation because they hope they can make it better. Even if part of their motivation is selfish.

The stench of Trump will linger over and taint the rest of the lives of the enablers (and that's exactly what they are).

Serve the fuckers right, IMO.

Probably also true. But if they helped to make things better rather than, say, starting a nuclear war with N Korea, maybe it's not the worst thing.

You can only improve what you actually have, not what you wished you had, or coulda-shoulda-woulda had. Even if actuality is a shit show.

Don't enablers always think they are doing the right thing?

If only they could.
