Hannity - "President Clinton"

Recommended Posts

During the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, I often thought that the only worse thing for Republicans than losing the election would be winning with Trump. Partly because he would be the disaster he has become, and people would associate his performance with republicans. But mostly because the far right wing of the republican party had become good at one, and only one, thing - blaming other people. And with republicans in charge of government, who would they blame?

I thought that a lot of republicans would come to despair of Clinton losing the election. Because if she had won, they would be able to continue the one thing they were good at. And today the far-right is indeed dreaming of a world in which Clinton is president; a return to the times they could lob daily attacks at a hated woman while playing the victim.

During Hannity's show yesterday, he predictably spent very little time on the recent indictments and guilty pleas of Trump administration officials. He spent most of his time attacking (you guessed it) Hillary Clinton. And during one especially unhinged rant he let slip his fondest, most secret desire - he called her "President Clinton."

Alas, Trump won; Clinton didn't. And the far right wing should deal with it.

Considering he's the band leader for the choir singing about the Uranium One deal I'm not surprised.

The far right is dealing with it.

"Poll: Vast majority of Trump voters say he should stay in office even if Russia collusion is proven"
"Nearly 80 percent of Trump voters said they think the president should stay in office even if collusion is proven between his campaign and Russia, according to a survey released Tuesday, even while support among all voters for his impeachment hits a new high."

"The emperor has no clothes. Most Americans knew this, but Monday’s indictments and guilty plea as a result of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, start to lay bare the rest of President Trump’s associates’ nakedness — and guilt — on the issue of collusion."
http://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/357905-the-emperor-has-no-clothes

What the above editorial assumes is that readers know what that saying means:

"The Emperor's New Clothes" (Danish: Kejserens nye Klæder) is a short tale written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, about two weavers who promise an emperor a new suit of clothes that they say is invisible to those who are unfit for their positions, stupid, or incompetent. When the emperor parades before his subjects in his new clothes, no one dares to say that they do not see any suit of clothes on him for fear that they will be seen as "unfit for their positions, stupid, or incompetent". Finally, a child cries out, "But he isn't wearing anything at all!" The tale has been translated into over 100 languages.[1]

Within the American political right there is a new era of thinking. A Kafkaesque world created by Bannon's thinking and trump's lying. Where his followers believe there is a path to prosperity for them. Only for them, not for the elites and not for Wall street. That doesn't exist. That if they just keep waiting for a bus, it will show up, but the bus has stopped running and will never arrive.

Now the majority of Americans realize that the emperor is without clothes. They see the ugly nakedness of the emperor and look on like how the rest of the world views the emperor. But for the emperor and his followers. They only see a designer suit. The kind Manafort had a penchant for.

That collusion with a enemy gangster state, Russia. Is an acceptable Faustian bargain if it will only bring back my job mining coal.

I haven't really been following this, but if there is something here in the "collusion emails" then it should all come out. I would love for these two political giant assholes to be put to sleep, permanently.

It would humble us as a nation and allow a fresh start. . .

wishful thinking?

You should follow this and the story starts all the way back when HRC was Secretary of State and one of her primary tasks was to create better relations with the Russian government and foster business growth between the two countries. The Russians, however, had began a concerted effort (known as the Illegals program) to get within her circle. That initial effort failed with 10 Russian agents being arrested at which time the Russians realized they could do much more damage with technology.

Think Magnitsky, a dead Russian Lawyer.

What Really Irritates Vladimir Putin? The Magnitsky Act
http://www.npr.org/2017/07/14/537247838/what-really-irritates-vladimir-putin-the-magnitsky-act

When mass protests against Russian President Vladimir Putin erupted in Moscow in December 2011, Putin made clear who he thought was really behind them: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

With the protesters accusing Putin of having rigged recent elections, the Russian leader pointed an angry finger at Clinton, who had issued a statement sharply critical of the voting results. “She said they were dishonest and unfair,” Putin fumed in public remarks, saying that Clinton gave “a signal” to demonstrators working “with the support of the U.S. State Department” to undermine his power. “We need to safeguard ourselves from this interference in our internal affairs,” Putin declared.

Putin hated Clinton. Putin supported Trump. Clinton battled every Russian attempt to subvert democracy in the United States and Europe. Trump, the greatest political beneficiary of the Russian aggression against democracy, denies the aggression is happening and calls investigations of the crime nothing more than fake news and hoaxes.

So its even more amusing when trump suggests HRC was doing the Russians a favor in any uranium deal. But hey, it works for trump's supporters who just don't know better.
