yoink 321 #4 October 25, 2017 rushmc Because he knows he can't win Is he saying nasty things because he knows he can't win (making stuff up out of spite, for example), or is he saying nasty things now because he knows he can't win? (having held the opinions but stayed quiet...) There's a difference. Honestly, if the Republican senators actually grew a collective spine and said stuff like this on the record when they weren't already on the way out it would carry much more weight. It's far too easy to dismiss it as being a sore loser if you only say something when there's no risk to saying it. Fucking cowards. Rush's reply is going to be absolutely typical of the dismissal of their conservative base.

But doing it when nothing is at risk it makes it worth nothing. It will carry absolutely no weight with anyone expect those who are already predisposed to believe it anyway. Anyone can not give a shit when there's nothing at risk, but it weakens the message you're giving. QuoteAnd he's saying what a lot of Republicans want to say - but are afraid to. Maybe - but you have no proof of that because they're all spineless cock-wombles.

Looks like a lot of Republicans are suffering #tregret. Most are just too scared to voice their opinion. You are voicing exactly what your media tells you. Carry on......... Flake has proved his conservative bona fides over and over again. He led the charge to kill earmarks, voted against Medicare Part D despite arm-twisting from George W. Bush himself, and spoke out against deficit spending by his own party. House GOP leaders even removed Flake from his slot on the House Judiciary Committee in 2007 as retaliation for his criticism. This part of his background makes it hard for anyone to credibly argue that Flake's speaking out against Trump is anything but principled. But those with no credibility left will certainly attack him.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
