GHWB's TBM Avenger was shot down in 1944. He was 20 years old.

He was flying what was then an advanced aircraft in combat, at 20.

Saw a TV show that was touring bars in DC and they talked to a bartender that served multiple presidents, senators, representatives, and others. They asked about 41 and the bartender said words to the effect that he was a Navy man, so his drink was scotch.
