philh 0 #1 December 27, 2018 I haven't been jumping in a long time and want to get in the air again. May years ago I jumped with a team called Alchemy in Perris Valley. They had these incredible radio systems they used for free fall communication, which were so much better than hand signals. I spent countless number of jumps trying to do head down and was never perfect vertical , one jump with the in air communication system and they got me head down. So my question is , is there anyone today using this system?
keithbar 1 #2 December 31, 2018 Mostly wingsuit jumpers and crew jumpers afaiki have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response. Naw I wasn't low I'm just such a big guy I look closer than I really am .
kat00 11 #3 January 2, 2019 You can use Senna or Cardo Packtalk for in air communication. They are designed for motorcycle packs so also kinda work well in the wingsuit/CReW environment. The newer ones have a mesh network that allows for autoreconnects and improved range. I haven't seen anyone really using it at Perris outside of the wingsuiters. The one exception is an angle coach who I have seen with one. It's possible but you would need to find a coach who has the setup for it.
philh 0 #4 January 6, 2019 Yeah, well Im kind of looking for a specific person or Dz the uses them. I find it amazing that it seems barley anyone is using them. The level of instruction possible is far superior to hand signals in my opinion.
