bsrodeo540 31 #1 January 2, 2019 I am wondering what is a good camera for recording landings from LZ? With so many available I'm looking for something affordable but don't want to miss out on required specs. I know it has to have a good optical zoom, anything else? And for the zoom - what is good? X5? X10? X40? Don't want to overpay for features I don't need..Every life comes with a death sentence. Until then, who's in charge?
padraigbrowne 0 #2 January 7, 2019 Nikon P900 or P1000 X83 and X125 optical zoom and excellent quality $500 & $1000 new . lots of P900 available used
TommyBotten 0 #3 January 10, 2019 I would also recommend optical stabilization. It makes it easier to spot small movements on the skydivers input and/or canopy response that would otherwise attributed to a shaking camera.
DougH 270 #4 January 10, 2019 The Sony's with the BOSS (balanced optical steady shot) system are rock solid in that regard."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
