Never mind the fact there are videos of Pelosi and Schumer from 4-6 years ago saying we have to stop illegal immigration when Obama was in charge. The hate for Trump is palpable. Couple of things here, and a few have already been hit on. What you're referring to as being stonewalled also wasn't funded and supported by the R controlled House and Senate the last two years when they were in power. Edit: (Actually, it wasn't even supported in the budget that R's agreed to that Trump wouldn't agree to and which led to the shutdown.) Previous support of the wall by Democrats has also included very direct language that the border wall we built isn't the whole program, that we need E-Verify and better control at ports of entry for false documentation. Obama himself said "we're kidding ourselves if we think a little more border wall is the solution to our illegal immigration issues." As for the hate for Trump being palpable, no, we elected a D controlled House and this is simply the process of checks and balances. phantomII 37 #127 January 31, 2019 Now I understand why Trump doesn't mind shutting down the government. Why pay for intelligence or environmental agencies if you have one guy in the White House that has all the correct answers and knows more about that stuff than anybody else, especially the so called experts. From the Fox article: The drugs, worth an estimated wholesale value of $466 million, were intercepted off the coasts of Mexico, and Central and South America and off-loaded in Port Everglades, Florida on Tuesday, the Coast Guard said in a news release. Six different crews seized the drugs from 21 separate vessels stopped in Pacific waters.

Now there's a thought - with all the cities and counties that can't afford to rebuild their flood defences, can they just complain to the White House about immigration and get Trump to build them a sea wall? And guess where federal officials carried out this huge fentanyl bust? At the Nogales border crossing in Arizona. Yes, a port of entry, not somewhere over a border fence in the barren desert."
