Trump had a pretty bad day

There is no doubt that CNN and some others are basically at war with Trump. It can easily be argued that Trump provoked the war on purpose. But it can't be proven. That's part of his genius for media manipulation. "Dumbocrcats"?, really Billy it's hard to take you seriously when you constantly stoop down into the gutter and reach for insults instead of using reason. Who are you hoping to impress? Maybe Marc? It's appropriate when you are rooting for 'Bama to trash talk, I guess you think of public policy as nothing but a team sport.

They're Dumbocrats because all I see them doing is fighting Trump on anything and everything instead of trying to work with him. They want him out of office. They Dumbocrats because they don't see that if they keep this shit up, people get tired of their shit and vote Republican. Just watch.

Republicans will vote R, Democrats will vote D. The smaller slice of people in the middle will be the deciders. Like always. How can anyone work with him? Seriously his word is worth absolutely nothing. Even the Rs can't work with him because they can't take his word for anything. But one thing you are correct about, the fight against him sucks all the oxygen out of the room.

Yes that is from when they first called Trump out last summer.

Lately, I've seen several Democrats (happy now?) on Twitter again criticizing Trump for that old comment based on the edited video, like Pete Buttigieg, and several others.

They hate him because of his brashness, I get that. But they also hate that he won despite all the odds being stacked against him in 2016. And he's going to win again in 2020. Way too many Democrats running for that party's nomination. It's gonna be a shit show.

Probably just Trump style hyperbole. I hear it's perfectly acceptable these days.

You're still referring to when he was accused of referring to immigrants (both legal and not) as MS-13 members.  They weren't speaking on behalf of MS-13 like you said.  Want to try that again?

Please provide links for dumbocrats speaking up on behalf of MS-13.

Didn't seem to stop the other team last time. In the end they rallied around their QB and pulled off the hail Mary.

Do me a favor and paste it, I don't have a WaPo subscription.  Ironically, got sick of their constant Trump stories.

Work with him on what?

Border wall? Losing trade war? Killing Obamacare?

What has he actually proposed that is in any way in line with what the Ds want?

And I seem to remember the Rs openly stating that their objective was to oppose any and everything Obama wanted to do.

Probably, although the number is like 10 and I don't even remember the last time I successfully read one.  Anyway, found a workaround:

Alright, finally got there.  Here's the text on Pelosi, the only instance in the article:

"But not Pelosi, the House minority leader. Even after it was clear that Trump was referring to gang members, the California Democrat still claimed the president had called “undocumented immigrants” animals, declaring at a news conference that his remarks “inhumane” and that “we’re all God’s children . . . Does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person?”"

It's clear that she was still speaking in the context of accusing Trump of calling "'...undocumented immigrant' animals".  So again, can you cite an example of a Democrat speaking on behalf MS-13.?

That's just Billy's hyperbole. It's not fair to call him out on it. He learned it from the Great Leader.

Probably not related to this topic, but I also know CNN and other Trump hating media brought up his using the word "animals" when referring to illegal immigrants. They truncated a video of him speaking that left out the context that he was specifically referring to the murderous gang MS-13. This was last year, and a lot of dumbocrats called him out for it. Media brought it up again recently. Like they just want to keep attacking Trump.

I'll have to agree. I hate it when people take things out of context, or misinterpret minor slips of the tongue or awkward use of language, no matter what side.

The conman Trump was in a conversation about people like MS-13 members, and unfortunately then said " We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — we’re stopping a lot of them — but we’re taking people out of the country, you wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people, these are animals."  He put his foot in his mouth there, and the media took it too far. Trump did  the next day clarify he meant MS-13 people.

God knows there are a million legitimate ways to attack Trump.

Of course, Republicans are at least as bad. Witness their harping on about Obama talking about "you didn't build that" -- which was in the context of all the things that a government provides, that assists someone in the US who has 'built their own business'.

It's also one thing to snicker at a verbal gaffe that doesn't reflect actual knowledge (e.g. Obama's '57 states', or some things George Bush #2 said), and another to claim it to be a serious political issue.

I especially love the hypocrisy when you think back to the HUGE scandals parroted on FoxNews during the Obama years.  Remember the Tan Suit?  Or mustard on a burger?  Or...gasp...wearing a BIKE HELMET (while riding a fucking bike)!  But now in the face of actual criminal activity (defrauding the American electorate via felony campaign contribution a la Stormy Daniels, Karen MacDougal and being named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the case)...fucking crickets.

Edit: Not to mention the ludicrous position that "Hillary is guilty of (insert fictional crime here)" even after being investigated over and over for YEARS with no indictments.  Meanwhile, a Trump lackey known for deep-sixing Iran-Contra writes a little note that says exactly the same thing that his year-old memo/job application says and all his supporters are like "This investigation went on too long and now he's COMPLETELY EXONERATED, because his handpicked biased AG said so!"

Hi Bill,

And it looks like today was another bad day for Trump:  'Judge Blocks Trump . . . Sending Asylum Seekers To Mexico'

But, it's the winning.

I actually agree with this although I'm open to input.  One side effect of our very public border debate is that we've broadcasted very clearly that people don't need to evade capture in order to enter the country.  The intent of this was based upon an evaluation of how many we could process and handle and we've seen an enormous spike in this number.  I think it's fair to revisit this issue and at the same time determine the where and why of these people as it pertains to our national interests within this hemisphere.

I’ve noticed over the past week Trump has started using the word ‘republican’ a lot.

I’m trying to figure the psychology of it. He usually self promotes at the expense of all else and it is like he is trying to reinforce that he is part of the ‘group’ and a team player.

Its clever and manipulative and I can’t figure out the motive/agenda. Any ideas?
