Trump, the Great Orator

Yes, this is basically a declaration of war from the culture warriors. They see Trump as their "great white hope". The part of America that is forward looking and not afraid of change has been awoken to their danger. Just as Ron's people were motivated to get out and vote last time, this time those who disagree are going to be motivated in 2020. The true patriots, those who are not fearful and who understand that the strength of America does not stem from it's "whiteness" will soon be in control.

You actually believe that garbage, don't you?

You are aware, of course, that Trump has a long history of hiring and exploiting illegals. Both for his resorts and his construction projects.

We have illegals actively employed and living in my area. Several have stated the border should be sealed off. Doesn't compute, does it?

Again, you misconstrue the issue as racist. It is not.

If the "Illegals" were from Norway instead of "shithole countries" both you and Trump would be welcoming them.

Ya right, I'm sure Ron wouldn't have a problem with a bunch of perceived socialist liberal atheists coming here in droves and illegally voting for democrats just because they're white.

This whole "illegal s voting for Democrats" thing is also bullshit. Illegals don't vote, they keep their heads down and do their best to avoid attention. And, many of them are conservative and religious and more likely to vote that way. Except that part the R party coalition is the racists, so they are made to feel unwelcome there. Conservatives fear and/or resist change. That is part of what the name means.

You do realize the U.S. has five times as many illegal aliens as the entire population of Norway, right?

I'll go with this:

Ron, this, combined with your statements implying that war within the US is not unthinkable or something to be avoided at (nearly) all costs, and your complete lack of support for any opinions expressed by the more than 50% of the population who disagree with you speak volumes.

The UCMJ, I believe, says that one follows orders unless they are illegal. Not regardless of their legality. And the laws of the land that you disagree with are just as much the laws of the land as the ones you agree with.

It is shameful to wish for war. Even if you think it’s a consequence of fallen sinners, isn’t there something in there about loving the sinners? How can you consider going to war for ideas?

I am not able to connect your response to my patriotism.

However, wars are fought to gain territory, resources, and power over others. If ideologies affect safety, freedom, and liberty of my family, including my community and my country, then yes, I consider going to war.

BTW, sinners are to be loved individually. When they come at you in numbers it is best to deter their advance and neutralize them as efficiently and as quickly as possible.

You are a wife and a mother and like mine, except my paternal grandmother, I understand that you eschew violence. I am not programmed that way. There are professional born again, Spirit filled, Bible-believing Christian warriors. We need them. I have an adopted grandson and soon to be grandson-in-law actively pursuing that path now. I love them, pray for and am proud of them.

That is a remarkable rationalization for violence.

Think Joshua, Caleb, and David.

Think Jesus.

======================

And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful,For they shall obtain mercy."

"You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."

You are referring to individual encounters, not war. Have you discussed the subject with you transsexual SEAL buddy? IIRC, he/she teaches firearm self-defense. Again, as always you attempt to counter with Scripture that you do not fully understand.

Let's back up a minute...Ron, do you support Christian theocracy in America?

No, I am referring to the words of Jesus.  He was talking to multitudes - large numbers of people, some of whom would later betray him and lead him to his death.  And he did not "deter their advance and neutralize them as efficiently and as quickly as possible".  He spoke to them of love.  Of not fighting, even when someone attacks you.  Of not "taking eyes and teeth" even if such is done to you.  And he made it clear that the poor, the disadvantaged, the desolate, the weak - immigrants, refugees and the nonworking poor in your world - are the true children of God.

If Jesus were alive today he would not be separating kids from their parents and putting them in cages.  He would not be "neutralizing" border crossers.  He would not be "protecting the sovereignty of the United States." He would not be protecting the moneychangers from the liberals who want to increase taxes on them to pay for education for the poor.

If he were here today he'd be in jail for leaving water and food for border crossers.  He'd be beaten by guards while trying to help the kids dying in US custody.  He'd be hated by conservatives everywhere for his PC snowflake bullshit about loving and protecting the weak.  And if he was crucified again, it would be done by people who fear such a message of love, because it erodes their privilege - just as the Pharisees feared for their power in the time of Jesus.

Will you and them have the balls to go to war when Trump loses the election this year?

By any chance are you a member of one of the Christian pacifist denominations? If that be the case I can never adequately stand against your doctrine. Because that is the doctrine.
