Just putting out what I said 2 months ago. Big surprise, people who cant get infected are not very likely to infect others. Not exactly NASA-level genius here. At this point the pandemic is over and it's now endemic. Covid is never going way, not ever. We cant keep pretending like we just need to hold out a little longer and it's almost over. Just wear your masks a bit longer, social distance a bit longer, we're almost there! No it's not almost over and it never will be. There is no end to this. We need to start looking at abandoning temporary measures and integrating permanent ones.

I'm aware that you say "not very likely" as opposed to "impossible", but I would like to point out that the risk could still be significant.

You can be fully immune for a disease like Polio, but still 'shed'  the virus into the environment (sewage). Subsequent improper treatment of this sewage can then lead to infection of non-vaccinated people.

Not much of a risk in the Western world, maybe, but a very real one for developing countries.

 

Now vaccine protection against Covid on the other hand is something completely new. I would advise caution in abandoning all safety measures based on having had the shot, or being in contact with someone who did.

I have an old skydiving friend in North Dakota he is 70 years old. I asked him if he’s going to get vaccinated soon. He said no because he heard that a woman in Arizona died four days after getting vaccinated. I pointed out that half a million Americans have died from Covid. He told me the Hospitals just made up those numbers to get more funding.

  => 2.855,340 fatalities/year => 7823/day

 

2020-03-11:  33,863,127 fully vaccinated people*

33,863,127 / 328.2 million = ~10%

7823 * 0.10 = ~782/day expected fatalities from the pool of fully vaccinated people
