Maybe she's banging the janitor or needs to pick up a dime bag, but who cares? In any case asking Ron rhetorical questions has long since lost it's novelty. I never thought I would be defending Ron :) But isn’t it logical that if students are working from home a TA might be needed to go in? For example, mailing all the children learning materials, doing basic admin tasks that someone of that skill set would normally do etc?

billvon 2,997 #1338 April 9, 2020 AG Barr just got on TV and described the shelter-in-place strategy like this: "Just telling people to go home and hide under their bed." Thank goodness that this crisis has brought us such an array of medical experts to chart the country's course through these difficult times.

wolfriverjoe 1,523 #1346 April 9, 2020 (edited) Lots of places seem to be having some success in reducing the spread. The "Hide Under the Bed" rules seem to be working. There's been some reports that show people aren't moving around. They're using phone tracking data to see where people go and how far. Projections of peak infections seem to be moving both lower and sooner. Edited April 9, 2020 by wolfriverjoe

wmw999 2,452 #1350 April 9, 2020 NYC was probably always going to be an issue; it’s a big crowded city with a lot of people very dependent on daily contact. The poorer people are, the fewer options they have for being “flexible” in continuing with life, with things like getting food (when you live week to week, you can’t really stock up for a month) etc. And as far as thanking God for the good without blaming for the bad, sometimes it’s good simply to remember that gratitude is better than blame. Using God as a focus for that is fine. Wendy P.
