If the Republican Horse Shit machine wasn't busy giving money to companies for stock buy backs that help no one down stream we could already be doing something to make our nation stronger that was also up scalable in this emergency: infrastructure repair. If the tax cut Trillion was instead building roads, bridges and public internet right now it would be simple to throw another bag of money at it to provide jobs or other services for displaced workers. 

Instead, with nothing helpful in place, let's give two weeks of pin ball money to buy November votes and do a victory lap. Right wing politics are not smart politics.

A thousand dollars, when does this happen? I am not sure what that is going to do except buy toilet paper. Seems to me like money to buy a new gun or two or three used ones. If this is the start of SHTF that is investing in the future.

What would you do with $1K? Would it make a difference in your life? Guns and Rx meds would make a difference in mine.

Joe, just what do you think the rich folks do with their money?  They sure don't put in a giant vault like Scrooge McDuck, and swim in it.

They buy a second house.  Helps the builders

Buy a car.  Helps the car workers

Go on vacation.  Helps the travel industry

Go out to eat. Benefits cooks, waitresses, bar tenders, etc

Or if you are really evil (rich) you could start your own charity like Bill Gates

Give trump credit. IMO psychology is the first step in understanding the motivations of a individual. trump was never a salesman per se. As daddy gave him his start, then investors and finally bankers. But I digress. He understands the base instincts of his base. fear and greed.

Most voters will know a little bit that these payouts are nothing less than a bribe. Its all about Nov,3. Dress the pandemic up as a war. Dress trump up as the war president.

But the best is yet to come. All of the larger US corporations will have to come begging to the WH. trump has announced that he, er the US government wants to take equity positions in these corporations for these bailouts. OH! the photo-ops to come. trump showing voters what a great negotiator he is. Personally driving "tough" deals.

$1000 .... thats just for the base of the base. The checkbook is wide open. If history has shown past investors, bankers, states, employees, anything. trump loves a open bank.
