DOJ response:

The record indicates that Brooks’s appearance at the January 6 rally was campaign activity, and it is no part of the business of the United States to pick sides among candidates in federal elections. Members of Congress are subject to a host of restrictions that carefully distinguish between their official functions, on the one hand, and campaign functions, on the other. If there was any chance something worthwhile would come of this whole thing - Trump being barred from any future association with the Government for example - I'd be all for it.

Unfortunately, the single saving grace of the whole think is that it keeps our legislators busy enough that they are not otherwise causing damage.

To each, his own.  I consider them the best I've ever owned.

However, when I went to buy two more about 4-5 months ago, they were on sale.  I asked why & was told because they simply do not sell.

Hi Jerry,

There have been a bunch of these idiots who don't seem to understand that this is 'real'. 

Including Green,  Gaetz, Gosar & Gohmert.

They tried to visit the 'political prisoners' in jail for the Jan 6 insurrection attempt.
They were denied (go figure). 
They made a big stink about it.

So as a result, a defendant looking to get conditions of release modified was refused.
