Since Afghanistan was such a tough nut to crack. Latvia, Lithuania, or Estonia might do. Being NATO allies they probably wouldn't expect it. After all if trump can blindside his NATO allies without repercussions. So can President Biden.

In all seriousness Joe has a point about Joe, Manchin that is in another thread. Joe, that would be President Biden. Doesn't need a distraction like war. He should move the build back better plan into the fore. Cut the social spending aspects and focus solely on asphalt, concrete and direct physical construction.

This requires a serious sit down with fellow democrat leaders first. It requires serious cuts to some democrat dreams. IMO the moderate republicans left, i.e. Liz Cheney, etc. would likely vote for such a plan.

The asphalt and concrete were addressed in the infrastructure bill.  BBB is all about climate change and social engineering.  The progressives were holding the infrastructure bill hostage to try to ram through BBB, once the infrastructure bill was decoupled and passed the progressives lost their leverage. Schumer will try one last attempt at strong arming in January.  If that doesn’t work Biden’s presidency is all but finished.  The Rs will retake the House in the midterms, Pelosi will retire and the USA can change its status to “safe from progressives”

Easy enough I suppose. But kind of pointless. Canada is already colony of corporate America. And diplomatically pretty much a client state. If America invaded what would you do with all our multicultural liberal cities? If you tried to incorporate us in some form of "manifest destiny" you would gain a whole bunch of new flyover country and a population that would be difficult to gerrymander into reliable conservative seats. If our provinces because states you would probably have 18 new D Senators against 2 Rs. It would be like adding a new California except many times the geography.
