What should the penalty be for removing 15 boxes of documents from the White House, and flushing others down the toilet or ripping them up? Being banned from any elective office for life would be a start.

International crises don't affect how a state's Attorney General does her job. Or how a civil court conducts their business. It might distract Congress some, but I don't think it would derail the Jan 6 committee's work. I don't even think it would push any real legal actions against Trump off the front page. How many Americans can pick out Ukraine on a map? Or Russia? Or any state other than Florida, Texas, California and the one they live in?
