Apparently one of the main reasons the official Mar A Lago valuation is so low compared to Trump's (apart from Trump being a fantasist) is that all of the binding and permanent property useage restrictions that Trump signed onto in order to reduce his tax bill would make it very difficult to honestly sell the place. Since he's ignoring those restrictions himself in many ways, including by living there, while continuing to take the tax break he probably feels he's entitled to ignore them when he sells it as well. 

His defence against fraud in the state of NY should be that he's actually defrauding the state of Florida.

They are completely different animals. Property Tax valuation methodology is different everywhere and restricted by legislation in many areas as well. They really have nothing to do with each other.

Heck, he once sued a lender (Deutche Bank) to try to get a loan forgiven by arguing that they should not have given him a loan in the first place!  He said their "predatory lending practices" enticed him to take the loan.

In other words, he was suing them because no bank in their right mind would lend to Trump, so there must be something wrong with them.

The loan was later forgiven.

I just compared my assessor's property valuation notice (dated May 1 this year), with what Zillow says my property is worth.

The assessor's office say my property is worth 7.5% more than the Zillow estimate.

Saw a joke recently that would seem to fit here.

A new chatbot is advertised that will adjust its conversation to the user.  A guy decides to try it and logs in.  It asks him a few questions and ends with the question "what's your IQ?"  Guy enters 150.  The chat session starts and the AI talks with him about the benefits of CAR T-cell therapy and the practical issues with the Alcubierre drive.  

Guy has an interesting chat, then decides to test it.  He logs out, then logs back in with another name.  This time he tells it that his IQ is 100.  The chatbot asks him whether or not Chevy or Ford trucks are best, talks about which lite beer he prefers and what the Cowboy's chances are this year.

He logs out then tries one more time, this time setting his IQ to 50.  The chatbot says "so you know, Trump really won the election."

Couple of points:

What is the date of assessment? Probable some point last year (here it is as of July 1st of the previous year). What have property values done in general since then?

If the above cannot explain it, look for the appeals process and avail yourself of that option if possible.

Are they both too mental to accept them, though? Chesebro thinks he's got a good case because he was 'just throwing stuff out there' and Powell doesn't live on this planet.

Mark Meadows may be the weakest link for Trump now, given that he's already been caught red handed perjuring himself in the attempt to remove the case to Federal court. The self preservation instinct must be kicking in by now.

Other than MAGA [ which Trump stole ], he has not known where he is going since his dad died.

Next he will blame Cohen for this dismissal.  You really have to wonder what goes thru Trump's attorney's minds as they deal with him.
