TheRealDBish 0 #1 October 18, 2016 Hey everyone, I recently found a first rig I'd love to buy but the kicker is that it is located in the Netherlands and I'm in Canada. Does anyone understand how this works with trade agreements (NAFTA) and such? Is it duty free because it was manufactured in the USA? Unfortunately this is the deciding factor in whether I will buy it or not. Any advice is appreciated!

You will be charged GST and PST, or HST depending on the province you live in. The shipping company will probably add fees for brokerage services. I recommend using the post office for the cheapest fees. It is important that the shipper send it with a correct manifest listing the price and the country of origin.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
