His name was actually Giovanni Caboto , and he was Italian.  He was running away from debtors who he owed money to and hooked up in England to be sponsored to sail for new discoveries, etc.  And the rest, is 'history'

  My literary skills are lacking,so I'd recommend a video search on the "subject".

 Audacious has been growing on me from not so bad to..  It's a cool name to be called. I'd say skydiving in general is Audacious.  Maybe a team name.

So what are we saying now? Woke is a ploy by Bernie Sanders to make Union leaders rich? That's about as informative as any other 'definition' you've provided so far.

It seems Boeing is re-evaluating it's position on things Woke.  According to Yahoo Finance:

It added that "while Boeing has published aspirations related to diversity and inclusion," the company "does not compromise on merit or talent in pursuit of those aspirations and has a merit-based performance system with procedures aimed at encouraging an equality of opportunity, not of outcomes."

 

It seems prioritizing perceived victim status is a less than ideal business model.

Using Boeing as an example of an ideal business model. Thats so sad.  They cheated the government and lost a air tanker deal. They cut corners on software and air safety. They can't earn a return for shareholders and can't build spacecraft. In fact for the last decade they haven't done anything right . Except for borrowing more money and raising new equity because they keep losing money.

I dunno, Boeing isn't a college or publicly funded institution (more or less) so choosing merit (assuming they mean merit regardless of race, creed, sex etc.) seems woke to me.
