It's bullshit. I heard him say it live.

One of those sides was the Nazis & KKK.

The denial is in regard to specifically who he was referring to. Some of those "bunch of people" deniers are Snopes . When even a centre-left factcheck site is disagreeing with you; that's how you know you're really hard-left.

Yes, he said those words and 'protestors' is a plural word and it was Trump's belief (whether yours or not) that the protestors contained a mix of people; both 'fine people' and (not-so-fine) supremacists and per the Snopes account of events - He said in the same statement he wasn't talking about neo-Nazis and white nationalists, who he said should be "condemned totally." It's only the hard-left that hold onto whichever narrative of this event will provide the best smear.

Hard left?

Ha.

At least I'm not a Nazi.

One more time.

I heard him say the words live on TV.

I understood the context.

The "Protestors" were Nazis & KKK. Or their sympathizers.

There WERE NOT ANY 'protestors' who weren't.

There were TWO SIDES

Nazi & KKK.

Antifa protestors.

As this is a forum of opinions; you're welcome to have that view. I'm quite sure this echo chamber will also. However; the larger electorate won't care much that you believe that. You might as well be a flat-earther.

And only the hardest of the hard right think that people who turn up to an event entirely organised  by Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists, who still decide to join in despite being surrounded by Klansmen and people carrying Swastikas and Aryan/Norse symbols are 'very fine people'.

Only an irredeemable scumbag like Trump would blame the left for the violence at said rally after a hard right rally goer murdered a liberal protester.

Obama repeated the Charlottesville, CNN mainstream media's lie.The Democratic talking point.Republicans are racist. Democratic  elite and the likes of the Clown News Network and you, still don't realize it doesn't work anymore. Obama's "fine people on both sides" comments whether they were his true ignorance, which I highly doubt. More likely purposefully or blissfully ignorant the tool repeated the bullshit.CNN, MSLSD and the Dems have been parroting the lie for seven years now.Thank god the video you refuse to watch exists. Give it another try you just might get a warm feeling that runs up your leg.lol

I know what he said, what he inferred, as do most. We aren't so hung up on an authoritarian fallacy to evade the truth or to watch a vid..The majority knows. So consider yourself the intelligent one above us, get past the opinion and focus on your heros words, better yet what he inferred.

Truthfully Bill no matter what I say or do,I don't think you could ever bring yourself to say; I can see your point,I may Agree.

I don’t think you can single out individual republicans as racist. Many people are racist and I think this is partly reflected in the US election results and may explain why some democrats stayed home.

From what I’ve seen I think it’s fair to say the Republican Party tends to pander to racist tendencies and this is reflected in their rhetoric and policies.

Of course any party that panders to racists is likely to have a higher membership in that group.

Racism can be very difficult to overcome. I grew up in Southern Africa (Zimbabwe) and despite coming from a family that were not racist - compared to the general population, I still struggle to put aside preconceived notions. Growing up in a culture where in general the white population was more educated than the black population, you end up with a distorted belief that whites are smarter than blacks. Despite being out of the country for 30 years, I still have to catch myself on occasion.

My kids on the other hand grew up in the UK and we had black neighbours, they don’t have the same disadvantage.

Consequently I empathise with people who struggle, but it doesn’t excuse behaviour or give them a pass to perpetuate false stereotypes.

Leaders whether they are political, religious or otherwise have a moral obligation to set a positive example. For that reason Trump should be held to a higher standard than most.

As rushmc has bragged and trumpeted several times. Walmart rolls back DEI programs after right-wing backlash

"The company said Monday it is ending racial equity training programs for staff and evaluating programs designed to increase supplier diversity. Walmart has worked to increase the number of suppliers that are at least 51% owned or managed by a woman, minority, veteran or someone who is LGBTQ in recent years.

The company is also reviewing all funding of Pride and other events and monitoring its online marketplace to remove sexual or transgender products marketed to children. Walmart also said it will not extend its Center for Racial Equity, a five-year, $100 million philanthropic commitment the company made in 2020 to address the root causes of gaps in outcomes of African Americans in education, health, criminal justice and other areas."

All after a conservative activist targeted Walmart. This follows Budweiser, Deere, Tractor Supply, HD, etc. Conservatives have the courts, the presidency, the house the senate and will appoint untold thousands of radical judges to the bench over the next four years.

We don't need to.  There are 17 million vacant houses/condos/apartments in the US and only about 600 million homeless.  We already have an order of magnitude more housing than we need; we don't need to build more.

A very simple answer is a ruinous tax on property that's vacant for (say) more than six months, say 2% of the value of the property per month it is vacant.  That would incentivize people to either sell their extra homes or arrange for someone to live there when they are not.

That wouldn't fly of course; rich people don't want poor people to live in their vacation homes, and rich people control government.  But a variant of that would solve the problem without nothing new built.

A good percentage of vacant homes in my area are uninhabitable.

Even by homeless folks?

If you don't mind no heat or running water.

I can hear the cries now about putting people in substandard living conditions.

One other thing.  I think a lot of homelessness is due to mental health problems.  I don't know about your area but here in flyover country there is a definite lack of support.

So fix them.  Fixing homes is way, way, way easier than creating new housing.  The barrier isn't poor condition; the barrier is that the owners won't let them be used for housing.

So, again, make them standard.  A solar power system, composting toilet and water deliveries gives them all the basics.  In cold areas get them a stove.  In hot areas an A/C in one room.

All of which is MUCH MUCH cheaper than building new housing.

Where did you get that from?

Hi Jerry, I believe it was the last (D) rally in Beer and Brat Milwaukee, but could be mistaken. # 2371. Just sad, I didn't think the man would go there. I suppose the ends justify his means.

Thanks for asking for the clarification.

Trump has looked down on blacks his whole life, and he used racism to win the election.  Trying to deny it now is a little late.

How does that work?

He got minorities to vote in historic numbers for (R) because... He's racist.LOL

Keep digging Bill. You provide the humorous  with much material. But it sound like a great game plan for your future political endeavors. A great game plan for the future.I'd suggest you invest 10 mins.of your day and listen to the well educated Harvard professor.
