I've spent a fair amount of time across Asia, from West to East, and am pretty much oblivious to who's using the facilities.

One issue that comes to mind is that there are often lines into the ladies' room while access to the gent's room is unimpeded.  My son and I often have to wait for my wife at concerts, airports and so forth.

Thus, if there is a limited time during a break and a female legislator has to wait longer in order to humor someone's delusion, I can see why they aren't up for it.

I've been to Japan & Korea and have found that, other than in the western-style hotels, they are uni-sex.  And, not a bit of a problem.

I agree with your observations re.  ifAsia.

In the States the lines to the women's room are much more common than to the men's room.

If both are crammed, I suppose I'd be annoyed if a woman got in from of me to avail herself of a shorter line it I was desperate to use the facilities.

Other than that, who cares?

The simple solution it to build restrooms like in Asia; a common room for washing, etc; with no urinals, just commodes for either sex to use in privacy.

Now, our prudish society is aghast at such a thought.  Oh, the horror.

We did that in college - but with urinals as well.

We already have a vacancy tax and a foreign investor tax. We do need more housing, specially with migration targets in place. Though teh revised targets have eased that a little bit.

It seems as though, after his inauguration,  Trump will ask the DOJ to look into fraud in the 2020 election.
