kenthediver 0 #1 August 17, 2015 So, I am toying with the idea of getting a rating for flying jump planes - single engine - and was wondering what rating is required? Is there a minimum hours required for flying etc? Any advice would be appreciated. Ken

Ken the OP mentioned this and I was curious as well but they are in the UK... anyone know what is required in the US?You are not the contents of your wallet. boyfalldown 0 #5 August 22, 2015 Commercial pilots license and a valid class 2 medical is all you need for a Cessna. 250 hours minimum to get your commercial.

While that's true in the US, the thread started seems to be in the UK. Edited to add: Nevermind, I just read two posts up.
CountZero23 0 #7 August 30, 2015 Would this only apply to pilots flying on a BPA drop zone? I have a friend who a commercial license who teaches PPL locally; theoretically would there be any legal issues if he was to take me up and I was to land on private property? The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it.
