Making up 'quotes' to dispute what others have posted.

And not linking ANY  sources for them, making it pretty clear that those 'quotes' are a figment of the poster's imagination.

OK but in all fairness. trump has for decades made statements that are accepted instantly by his tribe as truth. They usually begin with "I heard that", "People are saying", "Someone told me".

In other forums where the right tribe is the majority. Statements like "I heard that Nazis and fascists who love our country". Well you know the rest. Or Nazis and fascists deserve our respect, even love because they are Americans as well. I read that recently somewhere.

Original article at Die kalte Sonne

“The conclusion of the two is very alarming. Here, too, not a word about “storage facilities galore. Here, reality clashes with the wishful thinking of some green energy protagonists who think there is enough storage and that all that needs to be done is to change the “mindset,” as Patrick Graichen put it.

The continued expansion of highly volatile renewable energy sources and the further displacement of more conventional generation units from the market are making the power grid increasingly sensitive to weather-related fluctuations. Unusual weather phenomena such as dark doldrums pose significant challenges to the security and stability of supply to the power grid. The largely intermittent output of solar and wind farms does not correlate with fluctuations in electricity demand.

The excess supply of renewable energy should be buffered during periods of low electricity demand, and the stored capacity should be injected back into the grid during periods of high electricity demand when fewer renewable sources are available. However, large battery energy storage systems, which have been promisingly announced, are still not on the horizon due to their low capacity and maturity, as well as their exorbitantly high cost of deployment.”

At this point, at the latest, some people’s ears should be ringing:

As long as economic energy storage systems are not established, even proponents of the current direction of Germany’s energy transition will have to admit that reliable conventional power plants will be needed for a long time to come.”

Is that better?

Are you getting embarrassed enough about your sources that you won’t share a link so we can all see it came from some nut job site like whatsupwiththat?

Seems to be a book, not a site.

From the reviews, it seems to be standard denier garbage, including the concept that the global average temp hasn't increased since 1997.

From one of the reviews (German translated into English by Google):

Quote

...Now six years are around and the climate has still not changed its direction. As really crisp also his reference to the logical breakdown in climate carbon startisics, etc. Vahrenholt is refuted by reality.
According to the latest television reports, Vahrenholt acts as a lobbyist for various corporations that seek to sow doubts about the anthropogenic greenhouse effect with millions of dollars.
Anyone who wants to form their own opinion about their theses can read the book and compare it with reality. In fact, it is enough to only look at the interests of the petroleum industry, chemical industry, Trump, etc.

Amazon site where I found the book:

https://www.amazon.com/Die-kalte-Sonne/dp/3455502504

Somehow I doubt that Brent actually read the book. Just that he found the 'damning info' on one of the idiot denier sites and parroted it.
