JerryBaumchen 1,363 #1 Posted November 10, 2022 Hi folks, Since the 2022 mid-terms are behind us [ well, a few to be decided but all votes have been cast ], we have been discussing Trump running again, Biden running again, I thought it would be better to simply start a new thread on the topic. So, here we go: Former Speaker Paul Ryan . . . said Trump is causing political problems for Republicans and dragging down the party’s candidates. Paul Ryan: Republicans are suffering from ‘Trump hangover’ | The Hill IMO this is just the beginning of Ryan's quest for the office. Hi Rich, I think that is his game plan. IMO it will depend on the amount of control Trump has over the GOP once the dust settles on these mid-terms results. If Trump continues to have 'substantial' influence, then Ryan has no chance of getting the GOP nomination; at least not in 2024. Ryan is only 52, young for POTUS by today's standards; he can wait until 2028. Jerry Baumchen
