michael.j.hines 0 #1 August 5, 2014 So, I'm looking for the best place to travel to for a 4 day weekend(fly late Thursday come back Monday) taking into consideration: price to fly into local airport, ease of travel to DZ, up jumper loads, jump ticket price, and anything else you would consider important. excaza 1 #2 August 5, 2014 As much as I love SDAZ and Sebastian, right now it's pretty balls hot in Arizona/Florida so I'd probably go with somewhere in New England (SNE, Cross Keys, The Ranch, etc.) or Chicago.

Doug_Davis 0 #4 August 5, 2014 michael.j.hinesI'm looking for late September to early/ mid October. Well were it not for the date restrictions I would suggest the Work Stinks boogie at Start Skydiving.

michael.j.hines 0 #6 August 6, 2014 Basically I'm looking for reliable weather during the uncertain months in middle america, and if possible a close tunnel so if the weather turns bad I can throw my money down that hole.
mrubin 0 #7 August 6, 2014 You should look at Skydive Dallas. I'm not sure how easy it is to get to from the airport since I always drove from Tulsa when I went there, but I'm sure if you call them they can give you some information on that. There's also a tunnel that just opened in Dallas. Another great option would be Skydive Arizona. The weather should be great in late September, they turn lots of loads, and there's a tunnel on site. There's also a bunkhouse, team rooms, and hotel on the dz so you have lodging covered. Or you can camp for free."I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Then I would suggest Lake Wales ($20 to 14k), great inviting, friendly, laid back attitude, and close to the tunnel in Orlando. Otherwise Skydive Chicago. Close to the tunnel in Chicago. demoknite 0 #9 August 7, 2014 I would suggest Perris. Weather is pretty stable. Freefly, belly, wingsuit are all welcomed. Tunnel on site. Fly into LAX, Ontario, or San Diego. Stay on the DZ or anywhere in the Inland Empire at a 20ish minute drive.
