daytripper419 0 #1 May 5, 2014 our dz just got a 206 p model. doing tandems out of it is not so great as the step is so far back and out from what i am used to with a 182 or 185. I was hoping someone could email me some pics of there step setups of there 206 pmodel jump planes. our's needs to be wider and would like to see some stc'd examples. thanks in advance. please pm me for email address
tkhayes 348 #2 May 9, 2014 I doubt that an STC exists for the step that could be used on a 206, I may be wrong. 337 is the way to go. but relative to the fuselage, the tail etc, the 206 strut is far 'higher' than on a 182, and the plane sits much lower to the ground etc. We used a P206 in Canada for years, Skydive Swoop in Ontario. contact them for their step design, but you will not solve the problem of the step being 'awkward' compared to a 182. That mean you probably change the tandem exit to make it easier
riggerrob 643 #3 May 10, 2014 I have done thousands of tandems from Cessna 205, 206P and 206U. From the 206P, I just sit with my back against the instrument panel and put my left foot on the step. As I get up into a crouch, I slide my right foot to the corner of the door ... What specifically are your TIs complaining about?
