I guess that means a win for you, and the people who still use kerosene lamps, too Wendy P. It won’t even begin until the growth of renewables outpace growth in demand which is projected to explode. From Newsmax “According to estimates in The Wall Street Journal, data centers which accounted for about 2.5% of U.S. electricity in 2022 are projected to consume more than 20% by 2030. That power is needed around-the-clock 24/7, competing with nighttime EV recharging demands, particularly when there is no sunlight, and the wind isn’t blowing. AEP Ohio warns that new data centers and Intel’s planned $20 billion chip plant will strain its grid as well because chip factories and data centers can consume 100 times more power than typical businesses.” Edited April 21, 2024 by brenthutch

If I was Emperor of the planet and that was my task then I would shut that shit down with my Emperor powers. I'd be rounding up assholes like they rounded up cattle on Rawhide. I'd leave Switzerland to find a place to put them all as penance for not doing jack shit to save the world and, worse, protecting the Catholic Pope in party suit uniforms. One must ask oneself who will benefit from this futile endeavor? The answer is the friends and cronies of those pushing this agenda. Michael Mann went from a low-level meteorologist to a multimillionaire celebrity once he concocted the “hockey stick,” which has subsequently been rejected as junk science. However, once the gravy train started rolling, more and more hopped on board and now everyone from politics to media to academia is now feeding at the trough of climate alarmism. Clearly they aren't working. Why are we doing this? The answer is the friends and cronies who are pushing the traffic law and regulation agenda. Now some sign company owners have become rich, went from nothing to millions. Now that these guys are rich, no way to halt the stop sign train. Next we get yield signs, speed limit signs and the stupidest of all, slow moving vehicle signs. Anyone who can't see the dark money secret traffic sign agenda is either naïve, stupid or in on it! I get all my power from solar. California now goes hours getting all its power from renewables for weeks on end - and all that is time we are not burning natural gas, thus saving that gas for the less developed parts of the US. As a result, natural gas prices are dropping, and air quality is improving. Solar fabrication equipment is one of the few things we export to China. US companies that make solar equipment are making billions and employing hundreds of thousands. So the citizens of the US will - and are already - benefiting from this. Become a scientist or engineer, discover/invent something important and you too can be a millionaire! Quote the “hockey stick,” which has subsequently been rejected as junk science. Only in your imagination. Quote naive, stupid or in on it. I am perfectly happy for you to think I am stupid. Like George Santos calling someone dishonest, or like Trump calling someone a liar.
