Roll it up, put it in a plastic bag, put the bag in the back of a closet, and forget about it until years later then throw it in the garbage. That's what I would do. What a waste of perfectly good material! Few month ago I got a jacket from Skylark made of parachute fabric and it's amazing! Wind/water-proof, very light and compact.
