The Heritage Foundation appears to be going off the rails, figuring that their desired direction is more important than the will of the people. Of course, everyone has things that they think they know better than the will of the people -- high-sugar and additive-laden food anyone? And just think of the success of the Prohibition experiment. The Insurrection Act is to be authorized on day one and the DOJ seized by loyalists. The act will be used to crush demonstrations by any liberals or democrats that dare to protest. NewGuy2005 53 #6 November 16, 2023 (edited) I'm currently reading the Mueller Report regarding collusion between the Trump Campaign and Russia and the obstruction of justice during the investigation. Some things that struck me were that the main reasons Trump's inner circle did not (effectively) collude were that they were too incompetent and self-interested. Trump really was too dumb to accomplish much of anything other than repeatedly stepping on his own dick. Now, if all the intelligent and effective right wing nut jobs in Washington unite to use Trump as a useful idiot to carry out their own plans, we really are in trouble.
