wmw999 2,444 #1 Posted February 15, 2024 Mark Turner of Ohio (House Intelligence chair) apparently issued a rather cryptic statement asking that unspecified information be declassified so it can be discussed with our allies and their intelligence committees. Turns out those crafty Russians seem to be working on a space-based nuclear system to attack satellites; boy howdy, that'd mess things up. But the cryptic statement did cause some concern, and our allies have been briefed. I wonder if the Orange Menace would have done so, or would he have held it close to his chest, because Vlad said it was only for enemies? Link to story Wendy P. Good deal, there is at least one cryptic Republican grown up congress person. We’re saved! Take down your Biden lawn sign, regain your connection to your inner bubble, and rest easy knowing that everything happens for a reason, and trust that someone, somewhere, has this under control. Was a great way for Turner, in his allegiance to Trump, to notify the Russians this information was being looked at....without having to leak anything at all.
kallend 2,026 #4 March 9, 2024 Not enough grown ups, it seems. Veterans already have a higher suicide rate than the general population. Now mentally incompetent vets have easier access to firearms. Just what we need. WASHINGTON (AP) — Veterans whom the government declares incapable of managing their own affairs would have easier access to firearms under spending legislation expected to be signed by President Joe Biden in the coming days — a reversal of current law that Republicans, and even some Democrats, have been pushing for years.
