bazelos 0 #1 January 25, 2006 I was hoping to do it this weekend but no luck, I have to wait till the 18th of February! In the meantime, what should I do? As in, what should I be reading to help me with progressing? He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.
altichick 1 #2 January 25, 2006 http://www.skydivemag.com/ has some interesting articles that should keep you occupied until you get to jump! Although not all of it will apply (as you are learning in the UK) you'll find lots of useful information in the USPA SIM (Skydiver Information Manual) http://www.uspa.org/publications/SIM/2006SIM/SIM.htm Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things! thourb 0 #3 January 25, 2006 Congratulations on booking your RAPS course! You start that the same day I start my AFF in spain :) Good luck to you! I've been keeping myself entertained by reading the USPA SIMs, BPA Operations Manual and a couple of good skydiving books - The Skydivers Handbook (Dan Poynter/Mike Turoff) and Skydive (Sport Parachuting Explained - By Chris Donaldson). Have found all of this to be good reading ahead of starting my course. Also reading all of the posts on here and watching almost every video on skydivingmovies.com Hope that the British weather gods are smiling on you! Blue skies!
