Hi Nigel,

I think Jill needs to have a serious sit-down & discussion tonite.

Agreed, 100%. I hate it but there it is. Also, Kamala needs to get real. Bottom line: Joe looked like a real old man who is well meaning but no one you'd have drive you home late at night. It felt like we are living through the Rise and Fall of the American Republic.

When even MSNBC is savaging Biden’s performance it is a rough night for the Ds.

Rough night for America and our Democracy. It won't harm your impeccable credentials to pretend for just a minute you care about something more than winning.

Right now there seems to be a choice for people to make. The chaos and carelessness of Trump or what essentially appears to be some sort of caretaker in the Oval Office guiding what is left of Biden's mind.

Some sort of caretaker really plants the landing. He's got to go. He looked old, he talked old, he was less in control of his disability, and even his hands looked old. The best 5 years of your life do not come at the end and even morons know that much. Fuck.

Hi Ken,

While it is commentary, I watched the NBCNews wrap-up.  Kristen Welker, who is the hostess of MEET THE PRESS, was reading from some notes of hers about various members of the DNC cringing & openly discussing moving to a different nominee. *

I fully expect to see Joe call it quits after the 4th.

I'll submit Gavin Newsom & Gretchen Whitmer for my choice going forward.

I do not want see a contest thru the primaries & right up to the DNC convention.  IMO the smart move it to pick a two-some soon & get them out there taking on Trump.

* This was just as the debate ended.

Hi Joe,

I am no political guru, but IMO for those undecided who have concerns about Biden making it thru another four yrs; well, he made their minds up for them.

I'm two yrs older than Joe & I could have out-performed him by a couple of lengths.

Funny, I also fronted Newsome/Whitmer this evening. But lets not forget the selfishness of Ginsburg.

Excellent point. Yes he's 99 but why not?

Trump vs Clinton rematch? Bring in RFK? The mechanics of choosing a nominee who has not been through the primary election process could be either a positive or a negative. A fresh face could possibly be just the ticket to demolish an extraordinarily week DJT. The D party is quite likely to tear itself apart working through this.

I would vote FOR Gov. Wes Moore.

EDIT:

“We are proud to endorse Wes Moore because he will be a governor who serves all Marylanders,” said the National Security Leaders for America. “After years of service to this nation, we know moral courage when we see it. Wes Moore has the moral courage necessary to take on the most pressing threats to our essential yet fragile democracy. He is a patriot who understands that America is more than Red and Blue. He understands his job is to serve his country, not his party.”

Course, I don't know if a moderate from either party is going to cut it. It's all just a schtick.

I don’t know why you guys are shocked, the man has been in obvious decline for years.

Who is shocked?  Contrary to what the Fine Folks of Fox are telling you, it's not like everybody on the left thought Joe was 47 years old.

The bigger problem for democrats is how a weak Biden could drag down other democrats in the election. What if trump lifts up other MTGs in the GOP ticket? If they then get another SC appointment? If rump bans free and independent media, press services?

Should Canada and Mexico start on border walls?

It’s going to be OK, we survived one Trump term we can survive another.

A second trump term is akin to a neutron bomb. The physical US will remain but the population will be brain dead or physically altered.

I thought you were an "independent" and not a trump sycophant?

The deep state will buffer us from Trump’s worst inclinations. Again take a deep breath, relax and resign yourself to a second Trump term.

(BTW the country won’t elect a governor from California who looks like a cheesy televangelist)

There is a lot more to age than numbers.  If you look at Biden now, if he wins, what will he be like in 7 months when the his next term begins.

It is time to take the keys away from grandpa.

And Trump (the other choice) is such a rising intellectual star

Wendy P.

Hi Wendy,

I'll say this about Trump:  He may be going the wrong way on the race track but he is going like a bat out of hell.

Also, he cannot say a seven word sentence & remember where he started.

It's all red meat to his supporters.

Hi folks,

Time to run the white flag up over the White House.
