alksndr_z 0 #1 Posted June 1, 2024 I am 18 years old atm. I want to get into skydiving so much. But I have a 2mm PFO. Is it possible to skydive without PFO closure?
0 riggerrob 643 #2 June 4, 2024 Patent Foramen Ovale is a hole between the two upper chambers of the heart that normally closes during infancy. This is a question for medical professionals. Did you ask your cardiologist? Another option is to review the list of heart anomolies that might prevent you from passing a medical exam by a Federal Aviation Aministration approved Flight Medical Examiner. They screen for medical problems that might prevent you from passing a pilot medical. Pilots are subjected to many of the same stresses as skydivers.
