But apparently according to Newsom, Trump was going on and on about the possibility the helicopter would crash.

So Trump tells a story.  But it turns out that it wasn't Willie Brown, it was Jerry Brown (and they look VERY different.)  And they didn't talk about Harris.  And the helicopter didn't "go down."  But he was afraid it would.

Trump is now threatening to sue the New York Times for not believing his helicopter story.  "We have the flight records of the helicopter," he said.  He claimed that it landed in "a field," and that he is "probably going to sue" the news outlet for saying he didn't.

This is the hill he wants to die on?  If so, rage on!  This will be fun.

I just watched his rally. Interesting how he’s pivoted to copy the Harris campaign, as the saying goes ‘imitation is the greatest form of flattery’. I especially loved the medical emergency and over the top Donald response to it.

“I said, ‘What the hell is this?’” Mr. Holden said. “‘Was he in two near-fatal helicopter crashes? He didn’t fix those damn helicopters yet?’”.......

It was an outright act of war, possibly a violation of both international & US laws.
The justification of it was pretty thin, with some of the excuses fabricated after it happened.

The 'funny' part is that, given the demonstrated competence of the Secret Service during the recent attempt on Trump, if the Iranians had managed to get an assassin (or team) into the US without detection, they would quite possibly have succeeded.
