I was at one of those once - a place where everyone there had arrived with the purpose of talking about sensitive topics and being supportive, not judgy.  I learned a lot.  I heard about sexual assaults that the person had never mentioned to anyone before, and how much that altered the rest of their lives.  I heard about what it was like to grow up in cultures that simply did not talk about sex with kids, ever.  No sex ed, no anything  I heard about what happens to gay people as they are trying to decide to come out, and what factors push them forward or hold them back.

If you had ever been in one you wouldn't mock them.

I think it would be nice if 'ban status' was visible somehow.
Like on the user profile.

I know the potential for abuse means it won't ever happen, but it would have nicer qualities.

He used to be very open to two-way discussion. Firm in his views, but able to discuss. I enjoyed having him on the forum. Something changed, kind of like with some other posters; maybe life, maybe right-wing news sources that aim to divide. Either way, to me it’s a shame.

As far as ban status, the new dz.com software is what it is; it’s unlikely to change, particularly when you consider the relatively low usage of the site.

I love having discussions with reasonable people. Wendy is reasonable. However, there’s like a little pack of left-wing hyenas in here who seemed to have a whole lot of leeway. I was called a liar. I was attacked for my service and called a murderer, which you defended thank you, a professional killer of human beings, etc. And I get banned for 24 hours for saying, sarcastically, I admit, I sympathized with someone’s apparent derangement. I suspect because Billvon is biased. It’s like a left-wing cesspool in here. If this bans me gain, so be it.
