As well as differences by sex, the leading causes of death vary by age (Figure 2). Among infants, most deaths in 2022 were due to perinatal and congenital conditions. Land transport accidents were the most common cause of death among children aged 1–14. Suicide was the leading cause of death among people aged 15–44.

Chronic diseases caused most deaths among people aged 45 and over. Coronary heart disease was the leading cause of death for males aged 45 and over. Cancers (such as breast and lung) were the leading causes of death for females aged 45–74, and for those aged 75 and over it was dementia including Alzheimer’s.

There’s still a stigma around mental health issues and asking for help. Also lots of isolation and lack of connection.

Hi Nigel,

As I was reading your link, I thought of this [ for the USA only]:  Retirement & Survivors Benefits: Life Expectancy Calculator (ssa.gov)

Visionary.

a visionary who also benefited from every piece of previous learned space/rocket technology developed likely before he was even thought of as a child.  Taking credit for things that you built on but were developed before you does not seem to be very christian.  I notice that you conveniently left out the visionaries of the 50's-60's who help Elon Musk be successful today and also provided you with cheap battery powered modern tools.

Do you know anyone who hasn’t built upon the knowledge of those before him/her? That’s the way it works. What are you talking about? What was done yesterday has never been done before in the history of mankind. It’s another giant step forward. Do you really hate him so much because he wrecked your precious Twitter and his support for Donald Trump that you can’t appreciate true genius?

Do you love him so much because of his support for the far right and the rapist criminal you idolise that you think he personally designed Starship?

Trump is an admitted sexual predator and adjudicated rapist. He is a proven liar.  He is a proven fraud.  He is a proven thief who stole from his own foundation. He is an adulterer. He is a convicted felon. He is a six time bankrupt who stiffed his investors.  His entire life is about enriching himself at others' expense.

It says a lot about your professed Christian values that you support him.  Did you ever read the Ten Commandments?  The Sermon on the Mount?  Because it sure seems like you have no clue what they are about.

No. I admire him because of what I said. He is a brilliant entrepreneur and visionary. Tesla, Starlink, SpaceX, Neuralink. This guy is going to have paralyzed individuals walk again. He just also happens to believe that the direction to facilitate his endeavors in the advancement of America and the human race is definitely NOT Kamala Harris.

I'll agree that Musk can be a visionary. I'll also agree that he can be a thoroughgoing asshole. One neither excuses nor explains the other.

And, quite frankly, his moderation of X is pretty one-sided.

Wendy P.

Trump is an asshole. Musk probably is also. I don’t know. Who cares? It’s about furthering an agenda, an agenda that’s best for America. It’s got nothing to do with feelings or emotions or what you think of someone’s behavior.

You're the one who claims to be Christian.

Yet you completely ignore "Christian Values".

Well, I won’t be ultimately judged by you and you won’t be ultimately judged by me and I would say you completely ignore those values also and inappropriately and unjustly use them as a weapon.

A good summary of how Musk became rich:

I watched a documentary the other day about flat earthers, not because I share their view, but because it’s fascinating to me that there are people who deny something so extraordinary and obvious. People, obviously because of their emotion and hate, who deny Elon Musk as a visionary make me think of flat earthers.

You said he brought free speech back to Twitter. That's an absolute lie. He brought capricious and politically motivated censorship back to Twitter.

Its amusing to read about trump christian supporters who deny the obvious control that Lucifer has over trump.

Jeff Bezos and Amazon. He’s liberal. You like him though, right?

A lot of the time people really overuse the word 'projection', but sometimes there is no other word to use. It doesn't even occur to you that a liberal could dislike a famous liberal, because your politics are so divisive, so defined by 'us vs them' that you would never dream of distancing yourself from a famous Republican no matter what they did. Well personally I think Jeff Bezos is a sociopathic parasite and easily as evil as Musk, if a slightly different kind of evil and I couldn't give a flying fuck what political team he claims to support.

On that note;

People with a functional sense of morality care. He is an unrepentent criminal. He is a rapist. He is a conman. He is a thief, including a thief from veterans charities, and he is a thief and rampant profiteer from his office in Government. An office that belongs not to him, but to the people. And you want to reward him for that, because you want to feel like your team is winning.

Everyone who worked closely with Trump in Government and isn't still part of his entourage says a 2nd Trump presidency would threaten the fabric of America's constitutional government. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs called him a fascist and a wannabe dictator. Why do you think that's good?

Opinions vary.

Facts don't. Musk censors Twitter based on his personal preferences. He bans people who say things about him or his causes that he doesn't like, he sues people who report true things about him, while conning people like you into thinking he is pro free speech just because he opens the floodgates for anti-semites and neo-nazis to say whatever they want against their chosen targets with no repercussions.
