Yep.  And unfortuntely I think he is laying the ground for another Jan 6th.

I don't really think anything big will happen - but still. we're making sure we have two weeks worth of food on hand in case something does.

Well....he will have a much harder time of it considering that he will not be in possession of the levers of power like he was at that time. Is he going to threaten to have his crowd hang the Veep?

No, I think he's just going to use Truth Social to call for an armed rebellion, because he really won and the real patriots need to make sure democracy survives the fascist Kamala Harris and antichrist Tim Walz.

He has always been careful to just walk up to a line and not go over it. Or at least not over it enough that he can't throw his minions under the bus and walk away. There will be a few protests, no rebellion.

He tried that last time.  Result was four dead, 1265 arrested and $1.5 million in damage to the Capitol.  And he managed to dodge any culpability from that.

He'll do the same this time.  "So Laughin' Kamabla stole the election and took away your vote!  It's disgusting, it's worse than Hitler.  So what are you going to do about it?  It's time to fight like hell.  Proud Boys, make us proud.  Retake what is yours.  Don't let democracy fall to that fascist whore."

And after the rioting he'll say "the lying liberal media claims I was promoting violence.  I was just telling them to vote.  CNN is to blame for the fighting."  And the case will make it to the Supreme Court, Thomas will get another few superyacht vacations, and then he will decide that it's just free speech.

Edited to add - he's been preparing for this for a while now.  From a few months back: ""Well, I do think we're gonna win.  We're way ahead. I don't think they'll be able to do the things that they did the last time, which were horrible. Absolutely horrible. So many, so many different things they did, which were in total violation of what was supposed to be happening. And you know that and everybody knows that. We can recite them, go down a list that would be an arm’s long. But I don't think we're going to have that. I think we're going to win. And if we don't win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fairness of an election."

Whadda ya mean? Evil Nancy had him impeached! Oh yeah, I forgot that's meaningless in today's USA.

Not to be a doomsayer, but I think you’re wrong. Trump is definitely setting the scene, in fact I think the reason he’s got “The worst Campaign in History “ is because he doesn’t care, he’s laser focused on the first coup in American history. He’s a cornered animal and every bit as dangerous.

Im genuinely concerned that the US government is sleep walking towards a crisis thinking they can just vote him into silence. However, Biden’s remarks during that interview that he doesn’t expect a peaceful transfer of power hopefully indicates that there is a strategy being developed to counter that it.

Coup's require the military to participate. They require a power base within the establishment willing to throw caution to the wind and risk it all. After the nearly successful assassination attempt it is pretty clear that he does not even have the power to maintain his security. A genuine coup attempt is not something he could escape the consequences of. There could be a crisis of a street type demonstration turning into an attempt at not a coup but a revolution. And it would leave ant huge scar on the nation. But it could not succeed because the people who control the power would not support it.

A dose of reality is called for here. Trump does not and never has had that level of support. The people who could make such a thing happen are all in comfortable positions in the most powerful state the world has ever seen. They are not going to throw that away for the deranged orange buffoon. The power that he does have comes from his ability to get votes, especially primary votes. Without votes he can not and will not prevail. The reason he is running a poor campaign is that he is a poor candidate who will not take advice from anyone.

Most of the R party leaders will pounce on him once he is crippled. Like rats from a sinking ship.

I used the word in a Trumpy way. Perhaps it’s better worded as civil unrest or a domestic terror threat. He’s also got radicals and foot soldiers in place right up to Supreme Court.

He’s definitely got the power and support to potentially cause major damage to the electoral process.

There are people in place at the state level who may try to subvert the will of the people if it is close enough that they can make the difference.

He's so smart (and modest too) that there won't be any need for rebellion.  He told us.

The right is really losing their shit over Vance AND Walz.

First the white supremacists that make up a big part of Trump's base can't stomach a guy with a Hindu for a wife.  Conservative documentary producer Stew Peters: "J.D. Vance is married to a Hindu, who likely eats shit and brushes her teeth with the same. He's beholden to the Zionist political operators that are steamrolling us into World War III, but we're supposed to believe that he's some kind of fire-breathing populist."

Conservative reporter Frankie Stockes: " You know, the Indians are a very tribalistic people, they have this caste system, the higher castes have fanned out all over the world, and they have what you could call a mother-ship mentality: They're all contributing back to the mother ship, just like the Zionists. It's no wonder that they're such good friends. . . . This is a guy who's only been in Congress, in the Senate, since 2023. He's already taken six-figure checks from the Israel lobby, I mean, he is bought and paid for. He hasn't even had to face a re-election campaign yet, and he's already raking in the Israel shekels."

And of course they want a piece of Walz as well.  Victory Channel's Joseph Z says that Tim Walz was chosen by the spirit of antichrist because he fits right in "with the wicked overlord lizard mafia that is really driven by their goblin masters.  And when you're looking at this, I believe that's exactly what we're facing, right now, a spirit of Antichrist that wants to have its way." Good to know.

Hi Rich,

I agree.  That is why I find it so nice that the election idiot in Colorado was convicted.

IMO the D's need to have their own people watching the vote count.

Hi folks,

I think she is living in some fantasy world:  “The winning formula for President Trump is very plain to see,” . . .  Kellyanne Conway [ said ]. “It’s fewer insults, more insights and that policy contrast.”

Anthony Scaramucci says Donald Trump is 'growing darker' due to election chances (thehill.com)

There is no way in Hell for Trump to stop with the insults.  It is the equivalent of a tiger changing his spots.  Ain't gonna happen.

IMO an awful lot of potential GOP voters are going to not vote for Trump and/or vote for Harris simply because of his constant negativity.

Trump changing at his age would be like you waking up tomorrow and deciding to become an alcoholic gambler. Only people like Vance who can sell core values, become something without morals and core ideals. Trump's latest from yesterday, give money to Trump and you'll receive a higher award than the MOH. I kid you not.

"Trump was speaking to a group of Jewish Republicans at his New Jersey golf club after being introduced by Miriam Adelson, a wealthy GOP donor who is the billionaire widow of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson. The ex-president awarded Miriam Adelson the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian honor, in 2018.

He recalled giving her the award during his time in the White House and described it as “the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor,” the military’s highest award bestowed on service members for extreme bravery during combat. The award is actually called the Medal of Honor, but it’s awarded “in the name of Congress” by the president.

Babbling idiot is a useful and accurate description. The earlier story I quoted missed the comment that trump made " He continued by comparing Miriam to MOH recipients saying, “She gets it and she’s a healthy beautiful woman. They are rated equal.”

Fucking clown rates a healthy v unhealthy, beautiful v not beautiful, woman comparable to the sacrifice of a warrior who has given it all.

Better to remain silent and be thought ignorant than to speak and remove all doubt, or words to that effect.

I wish we had the modern equivalent of Silent Cal, as opposed to the blithering idiots on both sides of the aisle that are now the norm.

Hi folks,

He continues to be his own worst enemy:  another rally, same old show.

Trump digs in on personal attacks against Harris: 'I'm a better looking person'  (thehill.com)

He should run on a platform that he is the most consistent candidate.

What a fucking idiot.

Jerry Baumchen

PS)  And, then there is this jewel:

“Has anyone noticed that Kamala CHEATED at the airport? There was nobody at the plane, and she ‘A.I.’d’ it, and showed a massive ‘crowd’ of so-called followers, BUT THEY DIDN’T EXIST!  She was turned in by a maintenance worker at the airport when he noticed the fake crowd picture, but there was nobody there, later confirmed by the reflection of the mirror like finish on the Vice Presidential Plane.”

“She’s a CHEATER. She had NOBODY waiting, and the ‘crowd’ looked like 10,000 people! Same thing is happening with her fake ‘crowds’ at her speeches,” Trump added. “She should be disqualified because the creation of a fake image is ELECTION INTERFERENCE. Anyone who does that will cheat at ANYTHING!”

Hi folks,

Looks like the DA is thinking that Trump will lose the election; then, he belongs to them:  on Monday, Manhattan prosecutors signaled that as the time draws near, they are not in fact opposed to delaying sentencing as Trump has recently requested.

Hi folks,

Looks like panic is starting to set in:  President Trump shared a fake photo of Vice President Harris speaking at a communist event in Chicago

It should be fun watching this idiot go nutz in the next 88 days.

PS)  A question:  Does anyone think his MAGA idiots will actually believe this one?

I'm curious if the court will reconsider his passport, especially given his recent comments about running away to Venezuela if he loses. His best friend has said he would do the same if they lose the war with Ukraine.

I'm guessing they have McDonald's there.
