This is a good example.

AGAIN not citing his source, cherry-picking, nor telling the whole story.

Coal 2023 sees global demand for coal rising by 1.4% in 2023, surpassing 8.5 billion tonnes for the first time. The global increase masks stark differences among regions. Consumption is on course to decline sharply in most advanced economies in 2023, including record drops in the European Union and United States of around 20% each. Demand in emerging and developing economies, meanwhile, remains very strong, increasing by 8% in India and by 5% in China in 2023 due to rising demand for electricity and weak hydropower output.

 . . .

Meanwhile, China, India and Indonesia – the three largest coal producers globally – are expected to break output records in 2023, pushing global production to a new high in 2023. These three countries now account for more than 70% of the world’s coal production.

“Coal 2023 sees global demand for coal rising by 1.4% in 2023, surpassing 8.5 billion tonnes for the first time.”

Popular doesn't mean right - it shows intellectual weakness if you think so.

You also missed the rest of that "fact":

Quote

In 2023 global coal demand is expected to have increased only marginally by 1.4%, albeit reaching a new all-time high of about 8 536 Mt. Coal demand growth is losing momentum due to lukewarm economic prospects paired with the weakening of the factors that pushed coal-fired power generation in 2022.

It's peaking, and will start declining within the next 5 years.

Actually THIS is a strawman - I never said anything about the globe, I said it about YOU.

If there's "irrelevant drivel", it's this

Notice how Brent uses this to deflect that he has no answer to my point about heavy metals (i.e. he pretends to care about heavy metals in geothermal brines, when he doesn't give a shit about heavy metals emitted by coal)

This place is starting to look more and more like a bad day on my FB feed.

A good reason to avoid facebook, too. Some possible good news though is that maybe the idea that sorting through piles of horse shit for a pony isn’t as grand an idea as was presented and we’ll get back to reading and rightfully being annoyed by the opinions of others.

Olof, let’s break it down. You live to snipe at me. As far as I can tell you have made no/few original posts. You are like an angry chihuahua nipping at my ankles. I will resume ignoring you, out of mercy for you and respect for the other members of this forum.

Well, can you at least make an original post that's not just a personal attack, that actually replies to my post about heavy metals?

Yeah, I think this topic is done, you're running away from the discussion at a rapid pace. Bye
