For maybe 10%. The rest of it fulled inflation unnecessarily. I don’t know why you are arguing against a simple truth.
Did the Democrats pass the American Rescue plan against bipartisan opposition: Yes

Did the American Rescue Plan contribute to inflation: Yes

Can we please get back on topic?

So there was no way to target the spending? I know the exchange student my folks sponsored liked the $2000 she got, having graduated and no longer living in the US, but I fail to see how it helped anyone living here.

You remind me of JD Vance who stood in front of a display of eggs priced at $2.99 complaining about how eggs now cost $4 today.

When she was here, as a legal resident on a student visa, she was given a ssn.

Which means she was an active participant in the US economy. A student visa doesn't automatically get a SSN. She probably has provided significantly more than $2,000 in value to the US economy. Overall a net benefit, specially considering the program as a whole has been successful in housing and feeding a large group of people.

Not when one balances that with the free room, board and tuition provided by her sponsors (AKA my folks).  I get it, your brains have been so rotted by Orange Man Bad syndrome that you look at generationally high inflation as a good thing, Biden is at the top of his game and Kamala is a genius.

So it wasn't free. Just like free healthcare isn't free. Very weird to see you make that argument here.

Not sure what you see as a generation but within 80 years or so is certainly within a generation:

  • 1941 - 9.00%
  • 1942 - 9.00%
  • 1946 - 18.10%
  • 1947 - 8.80%
  • 1973 - 8.70%
  • 1974 - 12.30%
  • 1978 - 9.00%
  • 1979 - 13.30%
  • 1980 - 12.50%
  • 1981 - 8.90%

2022 average inflation rate was 8.0%

2023 average inflation rate was 4.1%

2024 will be lower and likely close to 2.00%

So your economy is having a very soft landing after a fast recovery. Generally outperforming other major economies. If that is Biden and Harris at their worst, sounds like pretty amazing things could happen for your country.

Unless you somehow think supporting a self proclaimed black Nazi who enjoys trans gender porn is a much better qualifier!

The vast majority of Americans never experienced the inflation inflicted by Bidenomics. Some of us more seasoned folks remember the inflation/stagflation inflicted by Carternomics, but we are a shrinking minority.

I'll look again but I'm pretty sure Trump was loud about a $2000 payment. I'm also pretty sure I have the SSN/Green Card/Visa info correct.

Just because Trump wanted it doesn’t make it good policy. I assume she had a work component to her student visa as well.

But it does make him a vile, deficit increasing, socialist, welfare state promoting weasel who shouldn't be supported in November, right? And I don't think Green Card holders need a work component to a student visa. They already have the right to work and to receive inflationary largesse from the government.

He is just the devil we know, we arguably did better during the Trump administration, (full employment low inflation, low interest rates no new wars no invasion of our southern border and NATO members starting to pull their weight). Yes he is an idiot but so is Biden and Harris even more so. He is a national embarrassment, horrible person and a megalomaniac. That said I am looking at policy not personality. We will survive whichever of the two morons who ends up occupying the White House.

Keep telling yourself that. Dude, inflation is under control, interest rates are dropping, crime is at serious lows, NATO countries are openly laughing and defensing against another Trump Presidency, crossings at our southern border are down a lot, and you are so panty twisted to where you cannot stand up straight. You have it all wrong. Quit being a willing subject of the wrong world media and catch a wave. Life's good.

Trump job creation: 5.2 million
Biden job creation: 13.2 million (so far)

Trump: No invasion of our southern border
Biden: No invasion of our southern border

Trump lowest unemployment: 3.5%
Biden lowest unemployment: 3.4%

Sorry about the facts.

You are just impervious to reality, aren’t you?

He is the devil we know, Harris is who we know isn’t a devil.

The Trump administration inherited a great economy not a global pandemic.

We’ve just established that Trump really wanted to do the thing that you think makes Biden/Harris stupid, so how are they more stupid?

Trump’s policy is to overturn the constitution and democracy as you know it. He already tried once and everyone around him has had four years to figure out how to do it properly this time.

Considering median age is about 40, you are wrong here too.

Regardless inflation is back to normalized numbers. While Biden has created more jobs, has created more manufacturing jobs, stock markets at record highs AND has added less debt than Trump.

Yep.

In terms of who did a better job, Trump inherited a great economy and destroyed it.  Biden inherited a disastrous Trump economy and fixed it.

Not only that but he gets no credit for fixing the Atlantic Hurricane problem.

Trump inherited a good economy and made it better, a black swan event set us back, but by the time Biden took over, the economy was growing and folks were going back to work. (If you Google “last recession” the COVID downturn doesn’t register as a recession)

Biden and the Ds took a quickly recovering economy and put it on meth, causing massive inflation and hurting millions of folks.
