Slowest start to Atlantic hurricane season…

Maybe we could bury some smaller nukes under Tampa and detonate them just before the hurricane gets there.  If it lifts Tampa up by 20 feet it could keep them above the storm surge.

I mean, it can only help, right?

Or just have all the airplanes laying chemtrails across the US to fly into the storm to dry it out.

From a Facebook thread started by conservative weather conspiracy theorists:

=================
If Floridians would know a Hungarian wisdom, that storms can be broken up by church bells (energy frequency), they would turn on all church bells in the path of Milton and would ring them until the eye of the Hurricane is broken up. We are not helpless, we just need to use the knowledge we have. Please call your local pastor and ask him to turn on the bells in affected areas (may save your church and you). It may sound insane, but I am not making this up.
=================

The bolded text means it's totally true.

The people in NC are rejoicing.

Keep in mind this is the same guy who said, in this very thread, that "what you guys are all missing, is there has been NO TREND in Atlantic cyclones due to higher levels of CO2. For that matter NOAA and the IPCC have observed no statistically significant increase in any meteorological phenomenon. It would seem that the much ballyhooed “climate catastrophe” is just a big nothing burger."

Let's hope that Brent explains to the residents of Florida and North Carolina what a big nothingburger this all is.

Hi Bill,

It is ALL a nothingburger until it is your ox getting gored.

I'm starting to think that short-sightedness is a human trait.

I hope not,

“For the amount of destruction the next hurricane is bringing, it’s time to throw a simi nu/ke bo//mb  (minus the radiation) at this dude and see if we can stop the rotation. It may save more than it can hurt,” he wrote on Facebook.

Well heck as long as they pick one of the non-radioactive nuclear warheads then it can't hurt. Clearly the guy has thought this through.

15 feet of storm surge was predicted for Tampa. The Weather Channel just reported a zero foot of storm surge as of 10pm

No they didn't.  Once again, you skew actual information with your bullshit.  There is massive storm surge and destruction along the coastlines, and yes, a short period of the storm, after the eye, causes a reverse storm surge and low water levels, which is temporary and will be replaced by storm surge again as the storm passes.

Your ability to cherry pick data to fit your bullshit is fucking ridiculous and then you have the balls to say that 'other people are hoping for destruction'.

2 AM, 6 to 9 feet of storm surge are the current estimates for Tampa. However, you will claim that your initial prediction therefore, was correct, therefore all climate science is hereby, debunked, false, fake, and is not happening.

Of course you won’t wait until tomorrow or the next day or the next day for any Tabulations or tallying of the actual data, you will just stick to the mere sliver that you could possibly find to deny anything and everything that is sitting right in front of you

1000 year rainfall recorded in Tampa area

50+ tornados recorded, abnormal damage and destruction from them

Venice saw record storm surge, unexpected as well

Hurricane remained category one across the state, also unexpected.

[s]But since no one accurately predicted any of these things, all climate science is hereby debunked, false, does not exist and therefore nothing happened......

6-9 feet of storm surge predicted for Clearwater.

As of this morning, cars are underwater.

You do this sort of self-failing prophecy thing with depressing regularity.

I have a cousin in Clearwater; he lost part of his porch to Helene, but so far so good with Milton. Water came within an inch of flooding (he lives on a little pond), but is receding now. No power, of course. His sister lives in Asheville; she also still has her house. So my cousins are feeling pretty lucky.

Here's what's behind Hurricane Milton's historic tornado outbreak (orlandosentinel.com)

"Never before seen" tornado outbreak - with 47 reported tornados.  [s]But of course, given that no one predicted EXACTLY that many tornados, therefore all climate science is hereby debunked.[/s]

which means what?  looks like they underestimated, not overestimated, this one.... so much for 'losing their minds'

They underestimated storm surge, loss of life and property, storm strength etc.. Why don’t you find some cherry picked data to show otherwise.

no they didn't.  They UNDERESTIMATED tornados, flooding, power outages, street closures, deaths, storm surge and most likely the damage estimates, in many areas.... why do you hate Floridians so much that you wish death and destruction on them?

Want to put some money on the loss of property estimate totals?  I am in, because this will be record breaking catastrophic insurance payout numbers.

He'll give a number, then when he ends up very far off, he will say "well of COURSE I meant the damage tabulated in the first 24 hours!" or something similar.  You must know how this works by now.

As I have posted on an earlier thread, Bidenflation alone will result in record breaking damages. (Measured in dollars not actual physical damage)

Look at what President Biden said would happen vs what actually happened.

Biden is not a climate scientist, and you have yet to acknowledge that the vast majority of climate scientists think your view of the world is incorrect.
