And with much of south Florida underwater again only a year after the last precipitation disaster, people are seeing the results of that climate change firsthand. High confidence in rain but no observed increase in flooding.

JoeWeber 2,810 #32 July 1, 2024 Just now, kallend said: Care to explain what that means, to a non boat-owner? Insurers usually have a hurricane box where no coverage for named storms exist. In the Caribbean it's usually between 29 and 12 degrees latitude +/- a fraction during Hurricane season. So for standard policies that's between Southern Georgia and the Grenadines, generally. You can pay up for coverage in the box and some do, especially charter companies. Consequently, a lot of boats are stored in Grenada in yards or marinas. I think Ivan was the last one to hit Grenada. Phil1111 1,149 #34 July 2, 2024 Unfortunately with two wars going on and a famine in Africa. There will be fewer donations available to rebuild these small Caribbean island nations. Small tourist hotels which is a large part of the income and jobs market will be hard hit. The residents left with few resources to rebuild. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7ce0TUdiGc Hurricane Beryl Landfall Carriacou

So once again you posted a gloat to "own the libs" and it ended up backfiring, with a cat-5 that has shattered previous records in terms of how early in the season it came. (Broke the record by more than two weeks.) And it happened because sea surface temperatures are also at record highs, which is of course driven by climate change. https://bmcnoldy.earth.miami.edu/tropics/ohc/ So the thread that you started to try to deny the effects of climate change - ended up being a very good example of how fast the climate is changing. There's a lesson here that I am sure you won't learn.

Your video narrator acknowledged that warmer sea temperatures are fuel for hurricanes and that the oceans are warmer than ever. and connected that to the current hurricane. He tried to make like of a current spike in ocean temperature. You know, cherry picking like you do in an attempt to discredit all climate science with an opinion based on a tidbit. If that is a denial video, he is doing a pretty shitty job of it.

Statewide Temperature Extremes – Chris Martz (chrismartzweather.com) - Chris Martz makes no claim to have any knowledge, background or expertise in climate science. One would think if you are going to host a web page to deny climate change, you would post your own relevant credentials, if you had any. He has as much knowledge about climate science as Tucker Carlson and Hannity have about journalism.....
