And speaking of enemies. It seems as if revenge is the new GOP psychology. Kevin McCarthy, ex GOP house speaker has taken aim at eight fellow republicans who voted him out of office. Then made it his new life objective of screwing them over or getting them thrown out of office.  He has gone so far as directing $6 million in spending to get one of them defeated in a primary.

I wonder if they lose in November if they will all start eating each other.

Of course they will, remember Flight 571? Once the primary food is enjoyed, liberally and democratically, all else will be fair game. Unless you are presenting with Hansen's disease, and I expect Lancôme to come out with an excellent line, you'll need to live nocturnally or in Canada. Same thing I guess.

Looks like Trump made a mistake when he denied knowing anything about Project 2025.  Most Americans now realize that this is an admission that he DOES support the project (after all, his name appears in it ~300 times) and that it is designed for him.

Since he said that, Google searches for Project 2025 have gone up by a factor of 10.  Which is not the result he wants.  His strategy so far has been to attack anything and everything democrats do, and promise some vague "beautiful" solution as an alternative that he never details.  Like his "big, beautiful" replacement for Obamacare that was going to be done in two weeks - for his entire presidency.

Now he has a problem, because Project 2025 calls out the goals, and the steps to get there, in great detail.  And now reporters will be asking him about this feature or that feature as it's called out in the Project 2025 agenda and he will be in a tough place. 

He can admit that he supports whatever the Project 2025 agenda calls out - but that will make a liar of him after claiming that he knows nothing about it and it's "absolutely ridiculous and abysmal."  And that will lose him some centrists.

He can say he does NOT support what the project calls out, but that whole document is tons upon tons of red meat for his base.  And if he starts going against THAT (say, he says he would not deport all aliens) then he starts losing his far-right but ambivalent supporters.

As always, his mouth is his biggest enemy.

All true, but you forgot to mention that lying his his most natural state. Also forgot that for his base any lie or twist of the facts is immediately accepted as the new position.

Its like his stance on abortion which is now being softened to distance himself from his base and judicial appointments.

Fraud is permitted

Stealing our nation's most secret defense information is totally cool - especially if you sell or give it to our enemies

Bankruptcy is a form of business management

Dead children and armed teachers is the future of education

Bribery is accepted

This was pretty obviously going to happen and you have the bought and paid for Clarence Thomas to thank for it. He decided to throw the following into his concurrence on the Trump immunity ruling. It wasn't part of the case, therefor no arguments were had, but he decided to throw this little Easter Egg in anyways:

"I write separately to highlight another way in which this prosecution may violate our constitutional structure.  In this case, the Attorney General purported to appoint a private citizen as Special Counsel to prosecute a former President on behalf of the United States.  But, I am not sure that any office for the Special Counsel has been “established by Law,” as the Constitution requires.  Art. II, §2, cl. 2.  By requiring that Congress create federal offices “by Law,” the Constitution imposes an important check against the President—he cannot create offices at his pleasure.  If there is no law establishing the office that the Special Counsel occupies, then he cannot proceed with this prosecution.  A private citizen cannot criminally prosecute anyone, let alone a former President. "

Hunter Biden has filed paperwork to have his case thrown out, based on Aileen Canon's ruling.  Soon to be followed by everyone who was convicted in a case brought by a special prosecutor.
