More Sacrifices to the First Amendment

Work on that and get back to us.  For those of us on the science/liberal side of things it's not too hard, but I understand conservatives have been having a lot of trouble with those concepts.  I am reminded of how republicans could not define what a woman was after mocking someone else for saying the same.

I learned years ago. But many have different views now.

So is someone who is XY, and has breasts and a vagina, a woman or a man?

each person normally has one pair of sex chromosomes in each cell. The Y chromosome is present in males, who have one X and one Y chromosome, while females have two X chromosomes. Identifying genes on each chromosome is an active area of genetic research.Sep 28, 2022

No, there was no answer.  You copy-pasted some stuff from Medline which was apparently news to you, but isn't news to anyone else.

So for the second time - is the person I described a man or a woman?

If they are androgen insensitive they phenotypically would look female, but be unable to reproduce and testes would be where ovaries are supposed to be.  Gray area.

Agreed.  So three options - man, woman or gray area.

Some questions based on that:

Does "gray area" refer to sex or gender?

Given that it's a gray area, who decides what that person is?

You didn't answer. Cause when presented with something you thought was easy, but turned out not to be so easy you took the simple way out.

You had the chance to learn, but you are actively choosing ignorance.

Can they get pregnant?

Bingo, you get an extra cookie tonight because now we know: if you are infertile you are a man.

Don’t be deliberately obtuse. If they are born with the ability to conceive they are female

My bad, I was being deliberately nuanced. Without question, we libtard types go so overboard being woke it's no mystery we need frequent naps. But it is in no way as black and white as my conservative friends so fervently wish it to be.

?? So infertile women are men?

I had a college friend who found out she was infertile due to a congenital problem.  She adopted.  You should give her a call to tell her she's a man and will have to use the men's room from here on out.  Come to think of it, she also played women's rubgy.  OMG!  Men in women's sports!

But in any case, looks like you can't answer the question either.  It's funny - conservatives claim that they know the difference between men and women, but when asked, they can never give you a straight answer.  Sounds like they are the ones who are confused.

Around the edges of every “plain and clear” class are people who prove that very little in humanity is either/or. A woman born without ovaries at all, or with no uterus, can never become pregnant. An intersex person who has both testes and ovaries can also exist. They might not be the usual, but they exist just as much as all the he-men out there.

Instead of setting keep-out boundaries, maybe figure out how to define ones that say who you want. A local movie theater identifies its bathrooms: Urinals and stalls; stalls only, single bathroom. Seems to work.

The folks you are championing are such a minuscule percentage of the population. Not sure what the problem is. However if we’re talking about trans folks the question of male v female is more cut and dried until there is a complete transition and even then its mostly window dressing.

But your goal seems to be to make it normal and mainstream. I don’t think it is.

The problem is all the suppression and hatred being thrown at this small group. If they are so small and unimportant why are so many laws being aimed against them?

Hi airdvr,

Re:  The folks you are championing are such a minuscule percentage of the population.

You seem to forget that this country was founded upon the rights of the individual.

All is well until it is your ox that is getting gored.

I was referring to folks who’s sex is physically questionable.

Well, current estimates are that a conservative estimate of true intersex (chromosomes don’t match phenotype — or what you “look like.”  That’s a little under 60,000 Americans. Add in transgender and the number climbs.

For some people, until they know someone, they don’t matter. But you probably do know someone whose problems you’re dismissing. They just don’t want to tell you — it’s their business, not yours. Especially if they think you or someone else might weaponize it against them. How does it hurt you if a transgender male pees in your bathroom?

Again, finding ways to keep people out is much cruder than finding ways to include them.

I think the issue is more biological men who identify as lesbians.  I've been enough places where unisex facilities are normal that I'm not too concerned.  I've also lived in places where ladies with Adam's apples use urinals and I'm singularly in curious regarding the particulars.

I understand the swimmers who took offense at a "woman" with full male genitalia using their locker room.  At a nudist colony that's fine, but among young American females that doesn't tend to go over well.

People who want equal treatment, fine.  As a Jew, 'special treatment' makes me uneasy.
